I've decided I'm out on this one. If they do a 1/4 Fett statue this well, I'd probably get sucked in at this price point but I just "like", don't "love" Rex, so this falls into the unnecessary category. Space is becoming an equal factor to $ and at this point this is a space eater. Now, if I decide to sell a couple of other statues to make a 2 for 1 trade, I might put this one back on the table...

Sux but all of above; and I really admire this piece but was never in the market for it. I can only afford/squeeze in the top ones on my list and sometimes not even that. :monkey2

These days IMO folks need to be really sure - unless you are pretty comfortable. It's worth having just as a great SW piece.

You make a good point, with rising costs and space probably becoming an issue for all of us here as we get older. (98% of my collection might be in storage in 4-6 months as I go back to school and move closer for it).

I've sold 4 statues (2 Star Wars, 2 Non), a bunch of Hasbro stuff and will begin dipping into my Gentle Giant stuff to focus my collection, but also create funds for Rex and Mace.

I'm now bouncing back and forth on selling the original Ben Kenobi Mythos to get the new PF.
 
This must be further along than we think for an ES to be released so quickly.

It is in line with their recent ones I think. Gideon is at 750 and been on sale a lot, their new GL is at 550, Deathstroke at 350 (and in-stock), Batman vs Joker is at 650, and Hulk at 750.

Think this had stronger pre-order numbers than we were thinking, don’t think the price deterred as many people as we might of thought. I agree though, I don’t think this will be around long.
 
I think SS is cutting numbers across the board so they don't sit in the warehouse for years. I also think they saw what some "outer rim" producers were doing. selling out with very low numbers and creating hype and demand.

I do want this...I may have to pull the trigger sooner than I thought. But with HT coming out with a bunch of new stuff its kinda hard.

One thing hanging over my decision is the possible introduction of Mythos Fett 2. THAT is the one I truly must have, and he will not be cheap.

Space. Space is a big consideration, this is a huge statue.

I still have a bunch of preorders to pay for. This statue would make this a lot more difficult for me. Sometimes I cancel items, it happens. But this NRD is big enough to hurt if I lose it.

Recently the "Mandalorian" Fett PF with the damaged armor went on sale. I want to say they knocked that down to about $425?! I'd -love- to have that statue, yet even for that, which I have wanted for years... I did not bite.

It's killing me not to order Rex. And yet. It has not happened.

Fett will come. I think the question is, will they pair him with the “new” 1/4 scale Mythos Kenobi or the 1/5 Vader, Assajj, Yoda, etc.

I like the Mythos line. Both the old one and the new one. But it really bugs me that they split the scales. Maybe that Kenobi was so popular that they had to justify a “new” version.

It’s Fett, he always sells.

Judging by the number of emails SSC is sending me about missing out on this statue, I'd judge that its not selling as well as they'd like. But thats what happens when you cross that four-figure rubicon: that really pulls people up short. They should have known this would happen. I have seen so many ppl on FB saying *Really* want this, but that price - LOL SSC.

I am at the stage of my life when I can drop $250-300 on a figure and that's very doable. But a thousand dollars? That's a major purchase.
 
Am I going to be financially irresponsible in the next 12 days?

Surprised this got approved without a range finder though. Assuming they'll get that in as quick as possible.
