Iron Studios: Star Wars - Anakin Skywalker - Legacy Replica 1/4

IS has been a hit and miss, their Vader and Mando are fantastic, but some of their other pieces have not been too great.

Collectors desperately need an updated 1/4 Anakin though, so hoping for the best here.

Unfortunately IS doesn’t have good paint apps for faces. I have their new 1/4 Maul and paint apps look flat and some QC issues. I’m hopeful they turn it around soon. SW deserves a higher end statue maker other than IS and SS lol. Need to see what Blitzway can do.

Not the greatest tease with the luke warm light and grainy photo but an idea of what we might getting.

fully sculpted robe is a non-starter for me. But, I guess they're doing that for an easy swap out hooded Sith head by the looks. I'll pass either way. I'm just not a fan of Iron Studios products

I like the Theed base by itself but I don't get why they picked it for this statue. Would better go with the Mace base or Mustafar.

Ugh the robe and base...no.

Seems to have switch out arms too, those seams on that left arm are very noticeable.

I have their 1/4 Vader and Mando, both are solid pieces, but their other 1/4 pieces weren't impressive to me. Their Maul looks alright but thought their Luke/R2/Grogu was a disaster.

This won’t sell since Blitzway is most likely doing Ani. Looks bad. They’re going backwards. I’m excited for their 1/4 Vader on throne and recently got their Maul. They need to stick with mixed media.

Anakin looks really good!

Looks pretty solid, but think I'll wait for Sideshow to get back to Anakin in 1/4, especially with how good their 1/4 pieces have been lately.

Unfortunate their Mythos Anakin had no resemblance to Hayden.

The base should not be Theed. it should be something from EPIII

I agree Anakin and Theed don't make much sense together. Maybe because of Padme but that's very TPM not ROTS.
Coruscant (Jedi Temple) or Mustafar would make more sense.

Maybe Tatooine too, lots of sand like Anakin liked.

Kudos to Iron Studios as overall, looks to be a really good improvement over the previous prototype we saw. Really good that they added all that texture to the robe and keeping his tabards flat instead of one blowing in the wind. Headsculpt has some really great detailing, particularly the hair. The base is the worst thing at this point. I wonder if they'll do Obiwan to go with?

Yea, would really like to see Sideshow's take on an updated 1/4 Anakin with soft goods rather than fully sculpted. I still want a proper PF of EP3 Ewan Obiwan though instead of "making do" with the Mythos statue. The the mythos is great, for what it is, just nto my ideal Ewan Obiwan piece.

Agreed about the Mythos Anakin though. That was pretty soft as far as sculpting detailing goes and the likeness to Hayden was pretty much nonexistent.

The Statue came out great but I agree the base is an odd choice. I understand it I just don't like it.

It did come out pretty solid but the base and boring museum like pose just doesn't work for me with Anakin.

If I did get it, I'd portray the Vader hooded sculpt, as that fits the sculpt more, but the base is puzzling to me.
