I heard a rumor that Mxyzptlk, Ambush Bug, G'Nort, and Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew all play a pretty big part in this show. And don't be too surprised if a certain League of Super Pets also show up. Proty is pulling Penguin's strings the whole time.

Reviews are looking good, but I didn't care much for The Batman and don't feel much motivation to watch anything else set in its universe.

Definitely can't wait to see the series. Only thing that's a bad call which Reeves mentions in the interview is the show making no mention of Bruce Wayne or Batman. I don't care if he isn't in it but at least mention him in a recap or even at some part in the show. Though I'll wait until it drops to see If what Matt Reeves said is true or we get a surprise in the show.
There has to be some kind of rights thing preventing a full on Batman on a TV show. Gotham, Titans, and the CW shows could never really have a clear, fully realized Batman on screen. We only got shadowy figures and allusions. Superman can have his own series but Batman can’t even make a cameo? That just seems like that’s being prevented for a legal reason more than anything to me. So if things haven’t suddenly improved, it would make sense that they couldn’t use Batman here either. Hope that’s not the case and we get a little something but I won’t be disappointed if we don’t.
Who would be preventing it? WB owns DC, the show is made by WB and it is airing on a WB owned platform.
No clue, but it’s happened too many times now to be coincidental. Even if DC is internally blocking it, there must be a reason why. Clearly they’ve moved past the ‘two different Batmans at the same time will confuse’ audience stage, which is something I heard at one point.
Maybe they worry about diminishing Batman's impact on the Big Screen if he's on TV aswell. Although I don't know why that wouldn't apply even more to Superman.
Either that or they want to let the other characters take the spotlight, rather than having Batman show up and overshadow them.
