Actually these eyes are painted very well. The better and more ideal eyes that you are used to seeing from Hot Toys are decals, they are not factory/hand painted like this or 95% of customs. That said, I do hope Jazzinc uses decals instead for the mass production.
I think they're painted well too, but i agree, hopefully decals are used for mass production.

How did the “Neutral” sculpt lose bad both on here and on Facebook…? Kudos to JazzInc, but it even isn’t as neutral and “boring” as most are making it seem, there’s definitely some level of pensive emotion behind it. The “Neutral” portrait paired with her hips kicked out and posed well would look badass yet “sexy”/feminine. Or how she’s depicted here in these promo stills.

Always essential to have a neutral sculpt with any Standard set. I don’t understand how it’s in last place – oh wait, I know why, it’s cause most collectors are tired of “boring” neutral expressions. I’m sorry, but there’s a reason why those “boring” sculpts are usually the go-to, they’re the most versatile and base portrait that can work in most poses and it’s more of a natural state, and to reiterate, this particular neutral sculpt isn’t even as neutral and straight faced.

It's because they painted the eyes dead center...

The neutral sculpt has mad potential. But we're not seeing it yet.

I don't want to be complaining. But if I'm honest, this does leave more to be desired in its current form.

Picking up on things isn’t complaining like people here seem to believe. If a concern isn’t raised it may not even get addressed.

We all want the best outcome right? So why do people feel the need to be so adamant about not speaking their minds? Putting others down for doing so even. That’s low.

If nobody complained, Joost would have no direction to head in. Yeah it might sound like a broken record but is that not your fault for continuing to read a thread about a figure that isn’t at the PO stage yet?

What do we have to talk about if not possible concerns? Are we supposed to just cheer it on everyday? Obviously we’re all bound to repeat ourselves, in any thread ever. What more positive can even be said about what we’ve seen?

Once we have more to chew on the topics will adjust accordingly. I think we all have been a big help to him and his project, regardless of any bickering or difference of opinion.

Perhaps budget and time are the root of the issue.

It's a race to put this up on time, without enough confidence or decisiveness as to what the finished product could look like.

This is a very ambitious figure to start with. Perhaps Penguin could have more appropriately served as a dummy to experiment, run tests, execute, and learn from.. before Catwoman.

I know Inart could have put out a much better Joker if they'd started with a different figure.

Speaking only for myself of course, I'd rather they push the preorder date until they can show something more definitive (custom body, rolling eyes, all mouthplate expressions? etc..) and raise the price to accomodate those needs, with as little compromise as possible.

I believe JazzInc is on the right track, but there will be hurdles inevitably they have to face. This will wear him down, but he has to be up to the challenge.
He’s seen nothing yet, we’re talking first figure in that not everyone is interested in owning. Wait till he tackles a more universally loved character from a more popular film.

I see a lot of potential here, the metal claws are extraordinary and I hope they look just as amazing in production. The added taser, the whip possibly using real materials, with a second curled up, this all screams quality, and I personally love the ambition.
Go big or go home.

My concerns are that, that very ambition translates over to production when they’re having to mass produce these and keep up with the QC. Will the people making our products carry that same ambition as all of the people involved in the prototype stage.

What makes you so sure?
It's going to add so much life to the figure.

Eye rollers are great but for a character like this, she needs sultriness and that usually works with eyes.

If you add eye rollers, her eyes would look too wide open. It’ll almost look round. She would need almond shaped eyes. Know what that means for eye rollers? She can only look left and right. With rollers, she can’t look down at someone in a snobby way, or look up with an attitude, eyelids would have to change for that to work.

Yeah, her eyelids usually lay heavy on the top of her irises in the movie. Wide open, static sculpted eyelids would probably throw off her likeness.

Nope. 😅

this is getting ridiculous folks. And predicting every possible scenario except maybe thermonuclear war, does not help either. Nor does it allow you to say 'called it'. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Anyway, we are working together with the most experienced factories for production of the headsculpts, bodies, suits, etc. Kit Chen from OneSixthKit will also oversee production when we are not there. And he has guaranteed only the best hands in the business will be involved in the supply chain. Many of whom are ex-hot toys and InArt. Therefore I cannot do more. You can expect the same difference between a handmade and handprinted prototype to final production piece from us than you can expect from InArt or Hot Toys. With a few important differences:
1) you will not be surprised by us, because I will keep communicating every step of the way, with pictures and video of progress along the way, so no avocado textures out of nowhere
2) I think using SERS system eyeballs WILL create an improvement in the look of the eyeballs compared to hand painting them
3) even though we may not have experience with portrait painting and eyeball systems yet, our supply chain partners all have, so it's not like starting from scratch and relearning or making the same 'mistakes' the Hot Toys had to go through when they introduced it and still had to invent the wheel. All respect to them. I think it is awesome and really gaining maturity

Also, it's ridiculous that anyone would want the EXACT suit material as used on set as Michelle had to be vacuum sucked into it and the suit would be torn after one or two scenes. So sure we can do that if you also accept that it will tear like pretty much immediately. You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

As for the seamless body, yes it might not articulate like a standard hot toys body but with the skin tight suit that needs to be strong enough to last more than a few takes, articulation is limited anyway. No such thing as a free lunch. So then, let's use something that will actually look like Michelle Pfeiffer's physique and not have all those weird looking joints and dips in areas like the hips and arms and shoulders that you have on Spiderman figures

oh, and ps: we have already had great succes with our Iron Scavenger figure, which came out better than the prototype and had NO QC issues, even though it was passed on by Hot Toys for being too difficult and not viable

I just want to say... Kudos for even tackling this. You're the first with the balls to do it. Fans of every stripe have wanted this desperately and every other company has left money on the table.

I honestly have the highest hopes in your word and integrity when it comes to this figure. Still PRAYING the Neutral Serious Sculpt makes it into production as it is the only sculpt that is not smiling or smirking which most companies depict her expression as. Which I love very cheeky, but this Neutral Serious is a true work of art (they all are) and would TRULY SHINE with the rolling eyes IMHO…. I’m still be there for preorder of the Double DX^^

I honestly just look at this and see a pretty neat release. I think people searching for absolute perfection are never going to be happy. This looks killer and as close to perfect as we are likely to get. I’m surely all in… that sneering face on the battle-damaged figure sells that and the light up sign on the diorama sells that. Absolutely awesome set.

And I really like what Joost said in the interview about tackling supporting characters. There are a lot of characters that I wish I had in my collection that I don’t really feel like bashing together- because I never feel truly satisfied with kitbashes. Really excited to see what the future holds for Jazzinc. figures.

All of these have eye rolling system. Now that I look at them, they don’t look bad.

I mean, I guess it’ll work for Pfeiffer Catwoman, too.

It would be amazing if Jazzinc pulls it off! I still have a huge respect for Jazzinc to actually put out effort to make Pfeiffer Catwoman figure happen. Really like the proto shots already.

If eye rollers don’t work, then no problem, sculpted/painted eyes can be used as backup plan, which I still think look really good anyway.

You’re absolutely on the right track. Some of the expectations are borderline obsessive. Even if Michelle herself was sitting on their shelves they’d find a complaint to write a 1200 word essay about.

I’d ignore the endless walls of text in this thread. It’s just becoming spam at this point.

My friend, you are doing great work and have been for years with limited input from us.
Although I do appreciate you asking the feedback from the fans, I hope it will not overshadow your instinct and creative vision.

I like everything I'm seeing and hearing so far and can't wait for the pre-order
