When are you expecting this Gip?

The Dual set right?

I still can’t wrap my head around that extraordinary 3D printing. Especially for a production piece, none of the thread patterns overlap or fuse together, brilliant work.

Yes, SpecFiction is a known safe place to order. Though, they can at times be a little slow to get their stock so patience is definitely required
Thanks, any retailer recommendations that may be quicker?

I should be getting it next Wednesday according to one of my tracking apps. But, oddly, the FedEx website still hasn’t given me an ETA. Just says “in transit” so I really don’t know yet.

But yes, I got the dual set. Just couldn’t pass up on that brilliant Clark Kent and now with the updated Superman headsculpt, it’s a real knock out set.

Who’d you order from? Was it JND direct?
If so that could explain why FedEx hasn’t updated tracking yet.

Yeah Clark looks great, I really like the idea of having their own individual bases commissioned, you’d think for the price JND would give collectors that option. With them split it really shows the value you’re getting with this.

Yup I ordered direct, but ETA updated pretty quickly when I ordered Cavill Sups but not for this. The tracking itself is regularly updating when it moves, just doesn’t have a delivery date yet. I’m not worried though.

And yup, I like the idea of individual bases as well for the two, even if as just a separate option so you get the choice of one single base or two separate. Though, I can’t imagine not having these two side by side so it works out. I think the Bale TDK set as well as the Returns Catwoman would’ve been better as separate though

Bought it
Thanks for all the pics fellas, this is the ultimate reeve Superman

Edit: looks like I got the last one at bbts, they’re sold out now

Is yours still in transit in Korea?

I don’t have an estimated delivery date either and it’s in Korea.

I recall filling out/submitting paperwork last time with (Mera or Wonder Woman Platinum?) but maybe that’s after customs receives it and requires you to send back the form before the package gets released.

Yup mine is still sitting in Korea as well and haven’t gotten the customs form yet to fill out. Maybe I’m misremembering, but I also thought I received the customs form by now, but maybe they’re just being a little slower right now?

Mine sat in Korea for a few days after i got the tracking #. It started moving last Sunday night. Monday it was in Honolulu. Then Memphis, TN on Tuesday and delivered to me on Wednesday. Maybe ya'lls may travel a similar pattern?

Ahh ok thanks for the reassurance :hi5: Definitely sounds like ours are following a similar pattern.

FEAST ON YOUR EYES. TRULY A GRAIL AND WORTHY TRIBUTE TO THE MOVIE AND THE ACTOR. PERHAPS JND'S THE CROWN JEWEL SO FAR.

Thanks for sharing! What gets me about this sculpt (and the JL Superman), is they even sculpted in the sort of bumps or stubble you get after a clean shave. You can see it on the chin and a bit on the neck in some of those close up shots. Just crazy detail

What's also a bit crazy to me is they achieved that sort of "sparkly shine" for lack of a better word that spandex tends to have through the paintwork even though it's a fully sculpted outfit.
JND seriously needs to hire someone who can actually know how to make videos and how to photograph. This video is a great example how to do it!
Do you still feel you made the right decision to not get this or are you reconsidering? I know you really wanted to like this piece and were pretty disappointed with the initial reveals of the updated sculpt.

Yes! I still think quality wise this is an exceptional statue. Everything is 10/10 however the sculpt is still not doing it for me. While the photos of JND are crap the features are still the same here and this is where my problem lies. Clark is exceptional however. So much better than Superman. Full of life and spot on. By the way I am enjoying your conversations and videos, photos guys.

On the other hand Prime 1/Blitzway should learn from JND. JND is getting a lot of flack for their sculpt (I think deservedly so) but on the other hand they are giving you the same quality what you saw with their prototype. While Prime 1/Blitzway usualy will only do the same prototype quality if it is their platinum or black label version (or an extremely expensive statue like their jungle hunter) otherwise pray you are not going to get a downgraded version.

I think right know Infinity is the best next to JND. Prime 1 is a gamble lots of times which is at this price range is unacceptable (see their Keaton Batman).

I continue to be amazed at just how different the blue colour appears in all the photos I'm seeing. The photo on the left was shot by Jim Bowers at Capedwonder.com and he used a Nikon professional camera rather than phone camera. The colour on his photo looks WAY more accurate to the colour of the real costume fabric so I'm hoping it looks more like that in person compared to the "too blue" photos I've been seeing elsewhere. Worth noting that Jim Bowers gave the Superman portrait a C- based on photos he was seeing online. However, now that he has received his dual Clark and Superman statue set, he gives the Superman portrait an A-. Quite a big change in opinion!

How do I know about the colour of the real fabric? I was lucky enough to borrow three UNUSED fabric bolts left over from production (which were sold at auction by Propstore a few years later). This is fabric from Superman The Movie. Photo was taken with a digital camera in natural daylight (daylight coming from a window on the left side). No indoor lights were switched on and this is very reminiscent to the colour as it looked like in person.

Did not have to fill out the custom form this time for them to release the statue. Fed Ex delivered today.

maybe it’s an one-and-done thing since I completed it for the last JND statue I received from Korea last year (WW Platinum).

Awesome. Looking forward to hearing what you think about it when you've opened it up!
