I notice the new Gollum/Smeagol heads are no longer on the Asmus site.
Seems like less and less available stock at the moment, and for whatever reason 'bay prices are often ridiculous.

Dunno if it's greed; or people figuring InArt will still cost more and/or may or may not deliver; or - greed. 😁

I never think of my figs as investment vehicles:lol

Someone offers me $2500 sure, I'll sell one of my Thrandys. :monkey3

I preordered the Sméagol/Gollum heads and now have been taken down off he website. anyone know what's going on? also why no new figure drops?
Was it just the heads? I canceled my preorder when I realized it was for a full figure.

For real, I thought Thranduil was supposed to drop for Spooktacular, which is almost over. But I can be patient. Had to laugh when a Y-Tuber was going on that the new Obi-Wan had been over a 2 year wait, or something. I'm still waiting. And while I'd order InArts Thorin not giving up my ASMUS Thorins - which I actually have in hand.😁

Interesting, wonder what it means?

Same, ive been getting collector's blue balls here.
And the announcement above makes it seem like they are more likely to showcase new protos at Spooktacular, if Sideshow are now their "partners" on Middle Earth projects?

What scares me is that Asmus biggest shortcomings were in their sculpts and paint. It feels wrong to knock some of their QC issues when InArt are the kings of poor quality control today. But Asmus has always struggled to be consistent with their likenesses - something that I feel Sideshow won’t care about. A lot of their figures don’t have great likenesses in their own right.

Hot Toys is absolutely knocking sculpts out of the park these days (with the rare exception), Limtoys just showed off two stellar production pieces, InArt is InArt. Asmus can’t be missing on sculpts. They have to be great. It’s great Sideshow is partnering but they need to hold them accountable where it matters. Asmus needs to capitalize on the hype they have on a returning line.

Not to mention third party companies like Mars Toys are setting a higher bar for sculpts at a lower price point.

Yes someone got a response from them saying they delayed that supposed LOTR product drop a few weeks back to Spooktacular… guess it was Gollum instead!

Not trying to make a big deal out of it,
but we are officially back.

Any question is welcome~
I will be around and given the green light to answer everything now.

Very happy to have ASMUS back and the question of the day for me is when will Thranduil be released ( and can you consider doing Dain?)

Radagast please.

We have Thranduil almost 100% ready (production) ,
but there are a new license issue, so we are pending on approval for release.

It is happening, but sometime just have to wait... (despite the manufacture is already ongoing.)
