I noticed the Aragorn shown at INART&MORFIG Tokyo event doesn't have a moulded hairline at the front. Shame production wasn't done like this. They also painted faint strands of the hairline which looks really good.

That's the 1/3 scale statue by Queen Studios (InArt parent company) and not the 1/6 InArt figure. It has a silicone portrait and punched hair. That's why you don't see a sculpted/molded hairline and instead you're seeing the actual punched hair at the hairline, not painted strands.

Edit - Looks like this is the same original list, just InArt have now allowed it to be posted to their group.
Thanks for the heads-up Hyperdrive.

Looks like the Fellowship is safe.

Hmm, I remember that the first post on FB summarising InArts event was that exact one, while we had people here saying that there were no more planned Fellowship chsracters beyond Frodo and Sam here. In other words, I don't take the FB-guy as a reputable source. As much as I want to hope this is true, we have to wait for InArt to come out with info themselves.

Yeah I guess take it with a pinch of salt, but InArt directly replied to this post thanking them for writing it up.
I think this was the transcript from their Q&A event where they wanted to clarify everything.

What worries me in that comment section is that InArt doesn't mention when the live stream is meant to take place.

It's a bit hard from that angle - IMO not only is the hair possibly short, but looks like you didn't get a lot of hair. Depends on whether you want to put up with InArt's *&^% about potentially sending the sculpt back, having to go through the dealer, etc. InArt makes it difficult to resolve their own problematic lack of consistency. You hear this kind of thing from statue manufacturers too - "individual variations" when clearly it's (*&%.

The other option if you can't stand it is to pay a customizer or - buy your own mohair, glue, and go in from the bottom and add hair. Since Aragorn has shaggy hair, you can probably extend it and blend the added hair with the original. IMO there's not a lot of mystique about InArt's hair, it's glued in. Only mystery is what glue they used - it's good stuff, hold like iron.

Also you could try a good wash, condition, and pull the hair down as it dries, which will take out some of the wave and give a bit of extra length.

Also, you could threaten a charge back, since the product in no way resembles what was being sold.
Inart does not help me and the dealer does not answer my mail, since I have Gandalf and I really want to have Aragorn too, I will probably have to work on him with the tips from you, maybe I will be lucky.I have always hated ordering directly from china because the dealers know how expensive it is to return the items, you save a lot of money but if you have a problem you are left alone.

I am sorry to hear it:(; unfortunately I've come to the conclusion that with InArt you have to be prepared to possibly go in and fix or replace stuff - essentially their figs may show up perfect; or a buyer may end up with an unexpected kitbash. Depending on how much they want to fight with InArt, a credit card company, or their dealer.

Or take good pics, and sell off - possibly at a loss, but there are people who would buy and re-hair if they get a good deal.

Try washing the hair and condition first, and re-gel, you may be able to coax some nice waves in with forceps/tweezers. It may take some time to futz as the hair dries. Another option would be to futz the hair and partially cloak on display. Or you could add a lot of product for a wet look and do a Helm's Deep look.

Or, of course, add more hair in. Fiddly work tho.

A return is not a option for me,i will try what you say, thank you.
Good luck, it took me a while and buying extra products to get it to work out, but I ended up happy. It's just learning a new skill. At least InArt seems to use a very excellent glue that can take wetting the hair down a lot.
