I’ll want Tasha but it’ll be odd to have her as the only season one figure. I would have preferred the Yesterday’s Enterprise look still just because it would fit in better with the later season figures we’ve gotten.

If the "Standard" is just a trombone and some poker playing hands, Voldemort is going to be stuck with an awful lot of unsold "Standard"s while the Essentials Sell out in a day. In other words, no way that's happening...........you know, unless he's actually producing these figures for himself :ROFLMAO:
If Riker has poker playing hands then Data should have come with his dealing visor and some cards too.

Johnny is killing it this week with all these updates. Looking forward to seeing the final product on Picard, let’s hope it meets expectations as set below.

New Generation is probably of least interest to me. TOS has Gorn, DS9 has Jem'Hadar and Breen, Enterprise has Andorians and Voyager has Species 8472 and Hirogen. What does New Generation have that isn't in the others?
While true, TNG introduced a lot of species to the universe that carried over into the other series like the Borg, Ferengi, Cardassians, Bolians, Benzites, Bajorans, Q, etc.

I hate the attitude of making people who didn’t pre-order feel bad. So basically- we’re loading the back half of the EXO release schedule with the stuff you all really wanted and either give us all your money or don’t pre-order and screw you.

It's a middle finger to his customers. Pure and simple.

I didn't get Bashir but I must get him now as I'm rewatching the show again.

Saying you hope your customers feel bad because they didn't preorder is really ****** but unsurprising.

It still is annoying that he goes around saying it though. Especially at this stage where we’ll be getting more TNG and TOS, which he knows is where the big sellers will be. It’s a very smug attitude to have towards the people who are supporting your company.

Well I guess we know what comes with the deluxe Riker now. A trombone would be a fun accessory, but not sure I need it bad enough to pay the extra $40....
Rather have a voice chip in the base so I can press a button for "Red Alert! Shields up!!" I mean you'll have a quarter of his dialogue right there. ;)

As someone who has sold product to customers... I find the attitude honestly kind of funny. I too have messed with customers to the point of some going wild online and it's just kind of fun.
We did an online poll giving a "choice" for our consumers. Do you want this or that? I made one option purposefully terrible (but funny). I then kept editing the poll so the results were different and the options progressively worse and worse. Then we did what we were going to do anyways despite a lot of people complaing (what? were they not going to buy it? nope!).
Had a bit of fun. Some of our consumers thought it was funny. Others insulting. Oh well. I really really do not care what random people online think. And much like Star Trek figures, our thing wasn't actually important (entertainment industry) and if you go wild and rage because of something like a figure or some form of entertainment, you've got your priorities all mixed up. :p

I also don't like the comsumer is always right mentality. I, much like Nanjin, also see a lot of morons spouting nonsense online who have never worked a minute in my industry. And though I wouldn't be as forward as Nanjin, I really don't care that he is. His attitude is fine. It's... truthful in a way. I prefer it to the fake crap I usually see online.

So I say, keep doing it Nanjin! Maybe block a few less people on Facebook who say something you don't like (I've literally never banned anyone for getting angry at me, or being dead wrong, though I have for abuse towards others). But keep up that fire!

:)

I assume from that post your business tanked. Doesn't sound like you should be providing services or products to people at all 🤣🤣🤣

Hasn't affected profitability. We're doing better than ever! So I'll continue to troll consumers a bit. :)

There's a false assumption people make that you have to treat the consumers great.
You don't.
If your product is good and has enough attention, it'll likely sell anyways. Seems to be true with Exo-6.

Do you hate Nanjin's attitude enough to stop buying? Seems like most people here don't. I'd be surprised if his words got him 10 less sales.

Then there's also the perspective of "do I care if I lose some sales?". People often ignore this and call someone stupid for acting weird online because it's "bad for business". But let me tell you, Nanjin seems like one of those business owners who genuinely has a passion for this and probably does NOT care about a potential loss in sales, as long as it does "good enough" to help his business continue until all the figures he wants to release are released.

I have known so many business owners who COULD make more $$$. Ones who could be "smarter" but are aware and choose not to be. It's kind of the mentality of "I want to do this, how I want to do this, and I don't care if it doesn't do as well". It's the kind of mentality I try to have. I want to work how I want to work. I want to work when I want to work. I want to express myself how I want to express myself (within reason). If I could make another chunk of cash by being more "proper" would I? I matters if that chunk of cash is the difference between being financially fine or destitute. And there's lines I won't cross like treating my employees bad which tons of businesses do to get ahead (crunch and overtime stuff).

I know a business owner whose business was apraised over 50 million. This was like a decade ago. He could have sold. He could have grown the business and been one worth hundreds of millions now. But he chose the "worse" option. Stayed small. Stayed relaxed. Stayed how he and his employees wanted. Some people call him an idiot for it...

Anyways I went on a little rant. But I generally agree with Nanjin. People online generally have no idea what they're talking about, with the exceptions of real "Experts". lol
I wouldn't be as crass as he is. But geez, it's an ACTION FIGURE. People are absolutely raging about an ACTION FIGURE BUSINESS OWNER. (And it won't cose him much, if anything!)

(I also don't get political or anything like that, I just troll the community a bit so it's not like a moral issue like what the Washington Post is having happen to them because Bezos won't let them endorse Harris, therefore they just lost over 10% of their consumers.)

Mr. Tam makes cool stuff, & there's nothing wrong with saying, "If you don't grab this figure, you'll regret it"- that's obviously just pride in his product & his collector FOMO- brain talking (an affliction many of you Freaks share). If you cant see that, youre just looking for outrage.
Be 😎! 👍

So you enjoy trolling and treating your consumers like **** too?

Thanks for clearing that up.

Playful, harmless trolling about unimportant aspects of life, yes. Treating consumers like #$%&? Nah. But yes if they're being stupid and/or ignorant. Respect when due. Disrespect when due too.

I'm glad I could clear that up for you! :)

I also don't like the comsumer is always right mentality. I, much like Nanjin, also see a lot of morons spouting nonsense online who have never worked a minute in my industry.
It's just because they think they want something so everybody else must want it too.

I look at it as simply misplaced enthusiasm, but that enthusiasm itself is a great thing.

There's metrics and data behind everything which will not steer you wrong as long as you listen to it, but very few of us, myself included, have the time or inclination to look for it, let alone read it.

As for morons... I don't seriously want a voice chip, for example, I was just trying to get a smile out of people, because i found the mental image funny. Some people won't pick up on it, or won't find it very smile-inducing, and then I just sound like a moron - point being sometimes the interpretation makes it worse than it is intended. And sometimes.. we really just don't get it.
