"Anyone have any personal experiences with the prior Gollum or heard of any fixes on the discolouring issues?"
The bodies I had on mine turned blue...They sent new replacements which have remained the right colour.

I bought my Smeagol 1 year ago, and I don't see any changes between his body, head other parts. I never hid him in the box, he stood in different places in the room, participated in many photo stories. I think it was an improved version of him.
I never really liked the first versions of this, but the Gollum head from this re-release(?) looks pretty good.
I might have to pick this up, depending on the price.

Well now I'm glad I cancelled my first set so long ago. These ones look way better. I preordered Gollum.
There was no option for ordering both as a set. They are $130 at Sideshow and at Asmus.

I emailed Asmus way back when the bodies started discoloring on the first run of Gollum, and never heard back about it. Hopefully for all of you who are interested, they've fixed that problem.
