I got my start in the sandbox, Alt-toys GI Joe. Then Greenleaders board, One Sixth Warrior, then here. I got my start in collecting walking through Toys R Us when my oldest was a toddler. She is 32 now.

Forums in general have been on a decline since Facebook Groups and Reddit have become more popular, and I'm sure that’s where many of our former members have transitioned to. I was never interested in social media, though.
Same. Also, the way ppl interact on Facebook groups is too much for me. So many keyboard warriors on social media that are way too comfortable behind the protection of the screen.

I don't know why that should be the case considering they post under their real names. It's weird.

No, Facebook is terrible. I've been tempted to delete myself off it.

If you think about it, P!tu was one of the very first youtuber doing toy shows live from big cons and toy reviews back in around 2008. All that started here on the freak board. He was charismatic and could have made a fortune. P!tu! you fool!!!!
Dammit John Snow!!!! you know nothing!!!!!! lolololololol

He was scarce long before the split. Others of that vintage who peeled off around the same time were Intothevoid, Maglor, Maulfan, Elvis1976.

Getting serious nostalgia reading this thread!
IntotheVoid hasn’t been around in ages

I got in the game for the Nolan stuff and that’s all I ever collected - recently I started noticing some really amazing new custom jokers and HT redoing some of the Nolan stuff so that’s brought me back around…

crazy to think I joined this place 16 years ago… mad!

Hi, I am a new member here, just joined. I am actually a member of another forum where the previous owner has recently just sold to Group Builder.

The core members of our community are worried and upset by being taken over by a corporate company. I was wondering if you could share your honest experiences about being run by Group Builder, and especially to those who were a member before it was run by this company, to be able to compare experiences.

Thanks.
