I've had some 1:1 Indy stuff for a good while but wasn't really looking at getting him in 1/6 Then a friend asked me to do him a holster and belt set .... It snowballed! Far from the greatest Indy figures out there but I got a couple of really nice pieces on mine. Raiders Indy head by Stien Jensen and painted by Mark Simpson, A beautiful Whip by Emiliano Franko, I know everyone has their personal preference with what goes on their Indy but these two are amazing (as are all the other creators we have out there) JX Toys S-01 body HT shirt, SS Jacket I think and some ww2 trousers with printed boots. Holster, belts and whip loop are what I make. Disguise Indy is an ebay head, cheap body and printed boots. Transit scope is a copy of the K&E Railroad I 3d modelled and printed. Not finished my any means he's constantly evolving. I've got a Ravenwood bar fight holster under the jacket too

Nice work!

Plus we finally got an answer as to where he pulled the Browning from.

The Browning Hi-Power—The Raiders Backup Weapon
Raiders of the Lost Ark is the only film in which Indy carries two pistols. For years, exactly where he kept the second one throughout the film was unknown and a source of much conjecture. But with 2023 the release of Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford, we learned that Indy kept it in a shoulder holster.

I took some screen shots from the documentary for posterity:

Now that's really interesting. A shoulder holster under the jacket all this time.

And aside from Johno13, nobody's custom Raiders Indy figures have one. So they're ALL inaccurate! :monkey3

And all along the answer was staring at us from the cover of the novelisation before the movie even came out!

The artwork looks like an M1911 in a US Army inspired holster without the cross strap attached, and also missing the strap to prevent his pistol from falling out.

(He's also wearing what appears to be an M1923 cartridge belt, which was for the M1 Garand rifle, which incidentally went into service in 1936 - the same year when ROTLA took place).
