Hmm - I'll have to compare these images to the KRE-O sets I bought a long time ago for comparison.

Mega is superior to Kre-O. Their bricks are on par with Lego and in some ways superior (more slopes, tiles, anti-stud tiles, brackets, bar types, and specialty pieces, in some cases better building techniques). They don't mention it but these should be pad printed, no stickers. The minifigures are the best out there, better than Lego IMO. I just hope these will become available to buy everywhere in the future and not restricted to Mattel Creations.

My guess that these are a "test" set and if it sells well, they will make more. I got the Mega MOTU and they are fantastic, so this is another line that I will be suckered into if they go deep with more. Imagine a Thunder Machine with dreadnocks and Zartan w/swamp Skier

Good to hear. I remember when they were selling Joe licensed LEGO knock-offs at Tuesday Morning, and you could just from looking at them that they would be cheap.

This stuff isn't really up my alley, but glad they are branching out with some other Joe products.

I think Mega Construx are awesome. The Halo ones were really well done. I don't venture into that line ( Can't bleed out more money into an entirely new line again...everyone says that...then they do it...LOL....) but I've seen it up close. It's just really well made. There's a lot of thought into it. And it's focused on fun. I was told the MOTU Megas had a huge cult following but the line was stopped ( don't know why)

I suppose that's the real limitation here. If you get into this line, based on other lines they've done, it might not do well enough to last more than X number of sets, which would be far too few to complete kind of a core RAH collection for people who loved the original cartoon.

Mega has come a LONG way. Their figures are second to none, honestly really fun. I just picked up their first fallout set.

It's really unfortunate that their history has sort of permanently sullied their name. I think they could be doing so much more, especially since they're not bound by some of the values Lego upholds which blocks some licenses.

I think that's one of the reasons they went through the rebrand a few years back and dropped Bloks from their name, as they really have executed well and produced products that are of great quality. They need to shake the stigma.
