Do people here generally not care for 1/12 stuff?
I collect a few 1/12 figures for properties that are ignored by 1/6 companies. Mainly video game figures. For example, I have Figma's Dead Space figure shipping soon. A figure we won't see a 1/6 company do besides the very old Threezero ones from years and years ago.

I also really enjoy that 1/12 figures are far more fun to pose without the worries and limitation that 1/6 scale figures bring.

It’s my main scale; cheaper, more posable, just fun to pick up off the shelf play around and put back plus some properties you’d never expect to get figures (not to mention some 3rd party companies put out incredible quality stuff).
⅙ was meant to be just significant figures that can standalone for me at first but it’s expanded a bit too much, need to pare down the collection in both scale really.

Keeping it LOTR:
Diamond Select has been putting out 7” figures for £20-25 and the initial ones are very rough, I collected them mostly on the hope they’d improve in quality and the build-a-fig Sauron (which ultimately was just ok). They were taller than 1:12 though so didn’t fit mix well.

Fortunately Bandai (S.H.Figuarts) just teased a 1:12 Frodo & Strider which really caught my attention.

Finally I can display my Aragorn with complete confidence. I picked up this clear transparent stand from eBay. Extra money I wish I didn't have to spend but I am happy with it....
That looks pretty dang good! Can you please link to the specific stand you got on eBay? I might want to get one of these for when my Aragorn arrives...

Mine arrived. I actually was going to sell it as the excitement had wore off but when I opened it to check it all out I changed my mind instantly, it really is a lovely figure. My god though, the eyes wind me up, such a stupid design, so hard to replace the head without touching the stick and moving the eyes. (phone pics)

Beautiful shots and excellent futzing @i_amjam

Got mine today, no futzing or anything but man, it’s an amazing figure, my figure of the year!

Will be taking lots of photos of this guy for sure

Thank you @Kit Chen
Yours looks really great just like that! not too curly. congrats!

thought I'd share this. So I got a premium Aragorn from the very first batch (OSK) and just recieved a second today, from what presumably is one of the final batches. So the pictures below are a side by side then induvidual pics taken with an iphone in semi-natural lighting. The second one (most recent right side) just seems to have more more 'Viggo' about it. I've been wandering around the house with both checking out different lighting and again the second just seems more defined somehow. Hopefully some of the more savvy members might be able to spot potential differences here. Both look great IMO, but there does seem to be some variance occuring... unless im finally losing it after 16 years in this hobby lol

Looking at mine now I have it in hand, it looks great and quite real looking but deffo nothing like the promo.
Can anyone tell me whats making if off from the promo pic. Is it the eyes or maybe the nose, or maybe both?
I think its the eyes myself. Pic not mine by the way.

The paint isn’t as good and the hair being too curly on the production piece is the general consensus of why they look different.
