As we all know, the next in line is Frodo and Sam.

The heads are now in working progress, clothing and accessories will be improved too.
But the head will be the main focus of all.

So I am here to share the progress, here are some just printed test heads that I took the pictures of,
feel free to start a discussion and ask anything~

thx~

Sculpt looks good so far @Asmus

When reworking the costume, please consider making the coat larger than the previous version so it fits more like a frock coat and use a herringbone fabric as per the actual costume.

For the vest, make it longer than the previous version and it should be a dark tan velvet.

For the breeches, dark brown velvet is required with a fall front fly.

Consider using a dark green linen cotton (like on your GTG cloak) rather than the 't-shirt' like fabric being used at present.

In lieu of velvet, you could use the same fabric you currently use for the Fellowship cloaks as it has a very similar look and feel.

Speaking of the Fellowship cloaks, will you dare to redo them altogether using the correct grey textured fabric?! The original cloaks are grey with a very distinct pattern yet no one has attempted to replicate it since the old Sideshow versions...

Even InArt got the Fellowship cloaks completely wrong...Time for you to correct it!

Dear Mr. Asmus,

1) After such a long period w/o any releases, could please explain the situation concerning Asmus' LOTR licence?

2) Moving forward, what are Asmus' plans? What can we, your faithful customers, expect from you from now on in terms of releases?

3) What is the situation w/ Thranduil?

4) Frodo & Sam will be released by Inart in the near future. Isn't it dangerous to release new Frodos & Sams knowing that? There are other beloved characters you could do.

Thx.

Yeah there is nothing on that original outfit that should be kept, it all needs to be remade for better accuracy.

Only way I know of to really get the clothing to hang accurately in 1/6 scale would be thinner material for coats/jackets.

There is no way I can think of where it can hang correctly. The overall weight just will not be there.

The sculpt looks great, but not sure about scale of head.

@Asmus For your reference, here is the old Sideshow Frodo 1/6th coat and Elven cloak. As you can see, the herringbone material of the coat looks great in this scale and they even attempted to replicate the pattern of the cloak (although the wrong colour). To achieve a similar effect to the woven cloak material, you could use a fine cotton linen and print the pattern on there to emulate a weave.
