If you ever get a chance, watch the symbiote arc from the 90s animated series. That depiction of Venom is still top tier, Carnage was awesome too.

Ah yeah, I forgot about the symbiote bonding with Peter first …so the symbiote and Eddie hate Spiderman.

Yeah kind of meh, these giant naked figures never look great to me because of those round toyish shoulders.

The Symbiote texture looks super low resolution and with a figure of that size it makes it looks cheap.

Look at how much more crisp and detailed the movie Venom looks.

Also the shoulders look terrible.

Yeah, I didn’t like how it looked before but they made it even worse. Big time downgrade

What happened here
The big round shoulders make it look like giant neca toy lol. But the texture is the main thing, definitely don't like how it's shown in this production piece compared to proto.

I like/liked the massive size of this, and had an idea of a battle scene to created in my Moducase. However, I'm not the most excited seeing how this turned out.

On top of that, I just received the delayed email from Sideshow yesterday, so I can get a full refund. Along with the classic venom announcement, I'm heavily leaning toward that route.

You are right, the texture as indicated in the early promo pictures does look better
