Does it seem there is a greater variety of hair 'condition' on this Aragorn compared to Gandalf? I wonder if they have struggled with the apparent complexity of this hair style.

Of course there is. Because, I suspect, they put a big pile of mohair on the production table, everyone got a reference pic, and if you were lucky whoever was doing your sculpt wasn't dying for a smoke break.

Nothing like the puff piece in the Harry Potter thread, about the careful selection of fiber blah blah. I expected at least they would have consistent fiber - but some got coarse curls like mine, other folks have tighter waves, some nearly straight. Plus some folks literally got more fiber on the sculpts than others.

Thing is, I never thought they'd use mohair with that much curl anyway. I think Viggo's hair was permed at some point, for whatever reason, which would explain why he's got wavy hair in some scenes. His natural hair seems to be straight.

Yeah it's full on gamble wit the hair, mine is way too short.

Guys I wanna buy another from Kit, my hair is just too short but idk if it's worth to waste more money, it just kills me the way my hair is :(

Should I get another? :((

I'd be getting a replacement from InArt for hair that short mate, it's unacceptable 😞

Damn I already messaged Kit for a missing part  did anyone get a replacement for short hair? I've been away for a short while..

I really hate the short hair, I tried a lot to straighten using anything but nah, it's the best I can do. I thought of maybe getting a second one now as there are a few left with Kit. :(

I'm not sure if I've heard of anyone ask InArt for a replacement for hair being too short (and I've seen more than a few sadly) but I had the same issue of short hair with the old Asmus Slim Aragorn and they sent me a replacement free of charge and told me to keep the original. That's the kind of service I'd expect from all companies!

Which hair looks better to you in-hand, with more product or less?

I like the style of the hair with less product better but I do prefer the slightly darker hair color on the other one. I think the hair should have been dyed darker overall and then having less product would be perfect.

Went full on crazy on this, gave him a bath, tried as much as I can to straighten the hair, I tried to do a wind swept look, still a little short if i don't tilt the head.

I'm still not sure if I should rake up the money and get another :gah:

Yeah Viggo definitely didn't have as much curl as my first sculpt has. The other thing I've noticed is that unlike sculpted hair it reflects a lot more light so in my LED display it looks much lighter than in natural light whereas sculpted hair looks almost the same.

I suppose that's exactly what real hair does so it's still accurate but it is a little annoying because the hair doesn't look quite so good with in a lit up display cabinet whereas the face still looks excellent.
