It looks like it.
I previously enlarged that section in one of the earlier photos:

Is the NECA figure 1/6th scale?Gotta admit, I'm liking the NECA figure more...
When the Alien is in it’s cocoon and Bjorn rams the cattle prod in to it and is electrocuting while it’s inside the cocoon and cracks the dome etcYeah, it looks like the texture on this figure is made to emulate the Xeno being burnt. It says it is scorched, after all. So it's different from the proto they showed before.
I can't recall how the Xeno got scorched in the movie, does anyone remember?

That’s correct, I did some research and that’s exactly it. Both figures are the same “hero” Xenomorph. So to check which of the paint schemes is more accurate, we should rewatch the movie. It would make sense if the the proto was an un-scorched Xenomorph, though it was displayed with the cracked dome which identifies him as the Scorched Xenomorph.
The one going into production has both cracked and undamaged domes, even though its dome was cracked when it hatched.
Either that's a Hot Toys error or they're just giving the option to create a different alien.
They could release the original proto as a generic alien with the undamaged dome and blue tinged shoulder tubes.
(I think they actually might, which would explain why Sideshow's "Coming Soon" still has the 'Alien (Xenomorph)' listed, even though a version of it has gone up for pre-order).

I bet WY secretly run the space drug trade too
No no, I just meant the overall look of the NECA seems better to me.Is the NECA figure 1/6th scale?
Hmmm I liked it significantly more before. The original paint deco looked far more premium.I stole this composite from OSR:

Even accounting for different lighting there's more sculpted detail in the latest photos. The top of the arm is what stood out
