Alien: Romulus (2024) figures

This BTS video of the Xeno animatronic they used shows that it actually has some texture on it, so I believe it’s accurate.

But I am curious if this guy has an actual opening mouth like the older figures? Cause if that’s the case I really hope the stretchy rubber cheek material is much more durable…

So, in my opinion, it seems the OG proto was definitely based on the initial prop animatronic (top).

But the official proto is based on the actual BTS version? I’m having a hard time figuring out what they referenced for announcement figure. I need to find a better reference image from the film.

I showed my brother the below image and he told me he thinks the official release is more so based on what it looks like in the movie, leading me to believe that’s the case, but unfortunately the figure still lacks the shiny wet look.

NECA’s version seems closer to the film too. It’s black, textured but retains the wet look.
