If we’re honest I think almost all EXO sculpts leave something to be desired in terms of paint. Saavik doesn’t look bad but just a bit flat. The eyes seem kind of dead as well.
What did you do?
What did you do?
Wow, amazingly the missing eye lashes, among other things, play a large role in breaking the likeness to me. Somehow the production version sadly does NOT look like Kirstie anymore no matter how much I'd like it to. That's my story and I'm holdin' to it [shrugs].That’s the Paint Master done by Viola Wittrocka for the production piece reference. The factory team did a commendable job, but they had no chance of matching the one-of-a-kind Paint Master that likely took days to complete.
This may be the first time that the actual preorder images look better than the final product as well.Wow, amazingly the missing eye lashes, among other things, play a large role in breaking the likeness to me. Yeah, maybe, but the bottom line is that this appears to me to be less of a museum grade figure and more of a dolly than what was expected. Granted, I don't have the head in hand. Looking forward to your studio pics. While I was hoping for a bit more with this figure since it opens the TWOK era, and since Saavik is one of my favorite characters (no clue why ), but I think those charges are a bit harsh.
Yeah I can't understand anyone saying this doesn't look like Kirstie Alley. I see it even in the worst pics we've gotten so far. While I was hoping for a bit more with this figure since it opens the TWOK era, and since Saavik is one of my favorite characters (no clue why ), but I think those charges are a bit harsh. As I mentioned earlier, I was crossing my fingers that her paint up would be in line with some of EXO’s stellar recent releases and it was instead a bit soft, but I see Kirstie in the sculpt for sure. Let me get her in the studio and see if I can do her justice. So far I’ve only been shooting her with my phone.
One thing I’ve noticed for sure is that she looks much better to my eye than she does in my preliminary photos. I can’t seem to get what I’m seeing to translate into photography……yet.
Well, I can understand how one would like it to look like Kirstie, but from all pics I've seen so far I don't think the production dolly does.Yeah I can't understand anyone saying this doesn't look like Kirstie Alley. I see it even in the worst pics we've gotten so far.
Does the buckle across the chest on the away jacket actually buckle?I have Saavik in hand in Virgnia but man, this uniform scares me to death. Looks awesome, as does the sculpt, but I don't want to mess anything up removing the uniform for the away jacket. Anyone done this yet?
It looks like it COULD, but I don't think it doesDoes the buckle across the chest on the away jacket actually buckle?
What would happen if you tried it?It looks like it COULD, but I don't think it does
I don't know, I'll wait for you to tell meWhat would happen if you tried it?
