I'm sure they don't mean anything. They display old releases at these Japan showcases all the time. 9 times out of 10, they don't end up meaning anything. (BTTF)
We need a closer photo to see what it writes on those nameplates/ figure descriptions. It could be place holders

Actually you’re right. The cards on the bottom with the red on it all write sold out 😔

Anyone else have the Samurai Pred on PO? Once Jungle Hunter is announced, I'm certainly going to PO too.

I’m thinking about doing a PO on that too. I just don’t like how bright the red is. I think I preferred the original armour colours on the first Samurai Predator but I do definitely like the colour of the actual Predator and his eyes and dreads

It's Awesome to see Rain there I hope that an Andy follows her in time, and its nice to see that the JH predator is still coming around but he looks the exact same so im really hoping hes just a place holder for the moment.

The only Hot Toys Predator I got was the 'Classic' from Predators.

With Hot Toys getting back into the Alien franchise with Romulus it piqued my interest in Predator figures again. Over the last few days I rewatched all the Predator and AVP movies from Predator to Prey, and was reminded that Predators don't yet exist in Alien canon (though Aliens exist in Predator canon).

I was also reminded how cheesy much of the Predator franchise was until we got to Prey, and by contrast how much classier the canon Alien franchise has been (barring Resurrection, though it's still a fun film).

I still like Predators, so if HT are going to release upgraded versions I think I'm in, and since in my mind they're inseparable from the Alien universe I'll just have to use my head canon. :lol

I’ve literally been been stopping myself from watching any Aliens or Predator movies so I don’t impulse buy some old figures that are bound to fall apart soon enough 😂 definitely need to drop all these figures ASAP because I miss watching those films so much

The Romulus Xenomorph will be my first alien for the same reason: I didn't trust the longevity of the old versions.

I regret not getting some of the Predators, though maybe it's just as well if HT actually are going to give us new ones. They made a lot though, so there's little chance (i.e. practically zero) they'll re-do every one.

I prefer Predators to be more vanilla and classic in appearance, so the new Samurai version doesn't grab me. While I consider Prey to be the worthiest in the series, the Predator himself was the least appealing of all, so I didn't pre-order him either. (If only someone would make Naru because she'd go into my western collection).

Why do they display the old figures? I already have all the Predator Hot toys 2.0, it's a false hope for non-owners and a heart attack for me. Anyway, disappointed with the Jungle Hunter once again, disappointed not to see Dutch 2.0 and as said above weird not to see Feral Predator. Let's be patient, my friends.

They often do it at shows to show examples of their history of making figures, and flesh out displays where there isn't much new to show off.
