I'm surprised to see Jack and David, never thought they'd make those two even with the zombie/ghost version of Jack and the nightmare hospital head sculpt of David. I strongly believe Neca will do another variant of ghost Jack later, with fresh wounds.

Yeah this is the type of release where I shut up and take out my wallet. Never thought we'd actually get them. I'll probably buy a second set for another set of legs/torso for a second Jack. I can imagine them doing a SDCC exclusive or something for something else.

Same:
FYI if anyone is looking for the Kessler wolf still ....Best Buy, 39.99 right now, quite a good price considering the scalpers .

I never picked up the Kessler Wolf. Ran into it once at Target, I believe. Didn't pick it up for whatever reason. With Jack and David coming the wolf is mine. I now also need to pick up Nightmare Demon. I have the SOTA version, but the newer version looks better. NECA's announcements has me excited for what could be next. 1/6 is my niche, but not a whole lot I'm excited about in that scale.

Yeah I stopped collecting anything but 1/6 or larger years ago....

My only AWIL representation is the glorious PCS 1/10 scale statue from years ago....proudly displayed in the center of my collection.

That said, knowing we just won't get these in that scale, I decided to get this series and find a spot specifically for them....

Ok cant say that without showing the beauty of this thing ..limited to 300 pieces , its the crown jewel of my collection so far...

Its temporarily got an AC unit behind it due to company, but usually it's just on the shelf in front of the windows.

Indeed, one of my favourite pieces in my collection too. Would love to see PCS have a crack at a new version with real fur like their new Howling 1/3 statue.

Imagine that.....

Imagine the 5000.00 price.....

Imagine you bank account.

The above is a nice set and I will get one. However, I can't help feeling like they cheaped out on David a bit. The second head makes no sense as he's in a hospital bed in his PJ's in that scene. An upper torso and arms for his gilet look would've been much better and it would tie in with the rotting Jack more. Also, they could've done a head with a pained look and hands with claws bursting through for his second transformation scene.

Still, I'm just glad that they did them at all.

In the last few years I noticed I have moved away from purchasing NECA products. They still output great movie related pieces however their Canadian prices (ie $70 for a single Ultimate) removes all temptation and desire to collect their products. It’s unfortunate as I have been with NECA since Hellraiser series 1.

This is another Neca figure I have got as a Christmas present for my son.
He already has this Kessler wolf, but wasn't keen on the joints in the legs.
I noticed these are pretty cheap now, so I got another one to modify.

I stated off by posing the wolf on a flat board, making sure it's 4 feet were flat on the ground. I then used a full tube of super glue on all the joints. It ended up with a good solid feel to it, like a statue. Only the head and mid body are left with articulation.
I used automotive body filler (or bondo in the US) to fill in the joints and sculpted the fur into the filler.
For the paint, I decanted some Tamiya brown and black spray paint, mixed them to different shades to match the figure and painted the filler, before clear coating with Tamiya flat clear spray to seal it.

Here are some comparison photos with the unaltered figure.
Unfortunately I deleted the photos I took of the overall finished figure and this wolf is boxed and wrapped up now. I will try to remember to post some pics after Christmas.

Nice job!

I do plan to repaint the heads on mine, just to get them to match the puppet better. There are lighter greys in the fur around the face, which is a detail that a lot of figures and statues seem to miss:

The 2nd figure I purchased has a lot more grey on both heads, but it's not painted on too great.
The problem for me is that there is so much rubber on the figure. You would have to use paint that won't crack when the rubber bends.
If I had the time, I would strip one down, mold the whole thing and cast a new one in resin.
In person though, the one I've set the pose on and filled in the leg joints looks a million times better than the standard figure.

There isn't any rubber on this figure anywhere, it's all hard plastic. I have seen other repaints of the heads and it can definitely be done. I plan on doing the pale grey with pastels so I can get a really subtle blend. I can't wait to see what yours looks like finished.
