My Interest in all things western includes original ephemera which is increasingly difficult to find in near mint condition. The digital format is replacing paper and so often posters are available from third parties on or before the release of the picture. I prefer smaller pieces, press books, flyers and related promotional ephemera. Often such pieces depict more information and certainly a good size for framing. My latest find is an Australian flyer for Horizon An American Saga. I prefer where possible no date or location of Picture showing. This piece should look grand framed allowing the underside to be viewed too.

Great thread, fantastic figures, Red sleeves is a childhood survivor all original apart from the brown knitted vest my mother made almost 50yrs ago. I repaired his missing thumb with milliput while I try to find a replacement hand..
The Gabariel/Marx Lone Ranger line, seemed a peculiar early 70s outlier, despite not having any new TV, Movie, comic, or tie-ins at the time (Filmation(cartoon) and Legend(Movie) reboot wasn't till 80-81), yet was still a cultural phenomena running on the nostalgia of the 50s TV series.
Which that gen only caught in re-runs.
And in a somewhat odd 9.5"10" scale, right between 12" Joes, and the then popular 8" Megos
For the time ( a had the main pair, Ranger & Tonto, and inherited a Cavendish who I turned into Zorro) were well sculpted, full of accessories (adventure sets), and well tailored suits.
Further the pose-able horses were sensational, at least to my eyes, I recall admiring a friends collection who had several.

Unfortunately despite a pretty fantastic last 5 min sequance , Disney somehow managed literally drag the franchise through $#!% and bury it for the foreseeable future.

Apart from Red Sleeves, as kids me and my nearest brother had Lone Ranger and Tonto, those we must have destroyed. My mother loved Western Movies, especially John Wayne, so glad she hung on to this figure.
I've managed to get replacements in play worn condition for the one's we destroyed, in addition a horse and the Mexican bandit character who's name currently eludes me.
I'll post some photos when I get a chance to take some. Kindest Regards

I actually still have that Lone Ranger and Silver.

Funny both back to the future 3 figures end up discounted. great figures but i guess most people prefer the modern looks.

At some point in my distant past I wanted to be the Lone Ranger, Rifleman or the Virginian, however I decided it had be George Temple... The Fastest Gun Alive. In reality I reckon I could at best have been The Milky Bar Kid on a good day with the sun behind me.

Red Sleeves got a squeeze...

Nice collection you kept them in great condition, and with some surviving accessories, my Ranger lost his mask and red bandana, pretty quickly, and Tonto's head-band and one shoe, though I managed to keep almost everything else they came with, so long as it was holstered and fastened down, yes these were toys and actually played with. :lol

Sadly the canon (as far as I read or watched) never really gave the Ranger or Tonto any great significant female counterparts?
There was Linda Reid, wife of Dan Reid (Rangers brother) and the mother of Dan Reid Jr, though she may not have even been on the show.
Although I do remember there was a Masked Señorita, she would have made a great figure.

I was named after a Chuck Connors character, Jason McCord from "Branded", gave me my first name.
Kindest Regards

Other fem Western figures I'd love to see are:

The Black Whip (aka Lady Zorro) - (rant about this generations absurd claims there were no female action heroes before theirs)

Jane Russel as Calamity Jane or in the Outlaw

Raquel Jo Tejada Welch; Bandolero, Hannie Caulder or Sarita

If they made High Noon's Marshal Will Kane (Garry Cooper), I'd likely want both:
Grace Kelly (Amy Fowler) and Katy Jurado (Helen Ramírez) the heart and female-cojones of the film.

Before there was Lone Wolf & Cub, Indy & Short Round, Ripley & Newt, T-800 & Connor, Léon & Matilda, Logan & Laura, Mando & Grogu
There was Rooster & Mattie
To go with True Grit: Rooster Cogburn would have loved if they made a Mattie Ross

More obvious The Quick and the Dead Sharon Stone (Ellen

From WestWorld, though Dolores is likely the most requested
I'd really want Maeve Millay.

As well as Armistice and Hanaryo

Missing Cat Ballou, just to name a few. :wink1:
