Finally got mine. Putting him together was definitely NOT fun. Happy with it though lol

After spending some more time with the figure, here are my takeaways:

1. DONT TRUST THE MAGNETIC BASE: First impression was that the magnets were pretty strong and could keep the figure in place. But it fell twice on it's back, the first time I blamed myself for not spending enough time aligning the magnets, but after doing so, it still fell off. Is the solution a bigger magnet? I don't know, so far, I've been taking the risk of having him stand on his own and seems to be stable.

2. UNMASKED HEADSCULPT IS UNDERSCALED: I was a denier of that claim, thinking that people were just assuming that because of the oversized clothes they took that impression. No, it is definitely underscaled, and it looks ridiculous next to other figures of his size. The only way to sort of hide that is using the gator.

3. DRAPING THE CAPE TO AN ACCURATE SHAPE ISN'T THAT HARD: Yes, you heard me right. You don't have to spend $50 on a cape that isn't even accurate to begin with. Yes, it has a good shape, but it lacks the volume at the ends that the stock one has. Draping it requires patience, will take you less than 30 min to have it look nicely. My attempt isn't perfect, but it looks pretty damn well from the front, which is what I'll be looking at 95% of the times. It just sucks that I'll have to undo the shape if I want to try a dynamic one. Yeah, we should've gotten 2 capes instead of only one. So maybe it makes sense having a custom, but the OSK neither Jaxon's attempt cut it for me.

4. HEAD KEEPS TILTING FORWARD: Frustrating to say the least, I don't know if it's possible to get a replacement of whatever it's causing this issue, but it's annoying not being able to move the head freely as I want. Yes, the head angled like that makes for a hard pose, but I don't really want that ALL the time.

5. QC ISSUES: Empty cowl has an awkward shape around the neck that is fixable with water treatment, cape is way too weathered around the neck, magnet on the left hand is weak, head tilts forward.

6. QUALITY: Aside from those negative points, the figure is awesome, likeness to Pattinson isn't perfect (his jaw isn't shaped like that) but the attention to detail is mesmerizing.

I think the jaw is actually pretty good

Messing with some Hot Toys pieces on INART's. I'm liking the shoulder armor, bicep and gauntlets, although I feel only the shoulder armor is really needed here. The contrast is quite nice though, as @rory pointed out. I have the HT boots as well but don't think they're needed. I might switch back the bicep and gauntlets to stock as well. Although if I pad out the arms a bit, I'll stick with the Hot Toys pieces since they provide a little more room.

Also stuck the Hot Toys cape onto the back of the figure, rather than over the shoulder and quite liked the way it looked. It reminds me heavily of the Arkham Knight suit. Not accurate of course but a neat alternative look. Messing with the figure has made me love it even more. Didn't really mess with it as much when I first got it since I got Aragorn at the same time.

Anyone have tips on getting the Hot Toys cape to sit properly on the INART chest/shoulders? Do I need to rip apart the stitching that ties the end together on the velcro?

Looks good! Regarding the cape, yes I had to separate the ends and reattach the Velcro. Here’s how it looks under the armor (on my old HT body).

It’s important NOT to cut the combined cape fabric and Velcro into two separate tabs, as the tabs won’t be long enough to stay hidden under the armor and all the cut up edges will be visible. Instead use a seam ripper or exacto knife to gently remove the stitching holding the tabs to the original Velcro, the tabs will naturally separate this way. Then I hand sewed on a small Velcro tab to each individual end. This way the tabs are still as long as before and clean looking.

For anyone who spoke to Kit / InArt about the head tilting forward on its own due to the peg, what answer did you got? Thinking about sending him a message. Using black tape with cotton below to hold it in position, not ideal, but it does the job.

Unrelated but I love having black tape, it has come in a clutch countless times in my life recently lol.

Just opened my Batman. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this paint rub on the forehead? Also a big spot on the back. Guess I should at least be thankful the ears on mine weren’t bent 🤷🏻‍♂️ Also, the rooted hair on my sculpt absolutely blows, looks more like the standard Bruce Wayne styling on mine, definitely wish I had just bought the sculpted. Honestly might just sell it on and be done with it.

The head tilting seems to be pretty normal. At least on mine it appears due to the back of the suit under the collar putting pressure on the back of the neck. I’m not sure it’s any kind of defect, more just an annoyance. I don’t think Kit or any retailer can really fix that.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. Where did you get the veltro tabs that matched the ends of the cape perfectly? Trying to find one that's thin enough to sit under the chest plate.

It's quite alarming the amount of reported issues with this figure.

It's indefensible.
I don’t know that I’d call the head tilt an issue. For me, I just had to angle the plug upwards before attaching the magnetic neck piece. Then the head stands straight up. I didn’t have any issues with my figure really, other than the holster being backwards out of the box. Which I really wouldn’t call a “defect”.

I only say this because anyone with an issue will likely be vocal, while those, like me, with no issues to report tend to say nothing, so it gives the impression that nobody has received a mint figure, when it’s likely the flawed figures are in the minority, given how many are actually received.

I wasn't referring to the head tilt. But every page someone's reporting missing magnets, bent ears, belts assembled the wrong way. Some are easily fixable. But where's the quality control?

That’s fair. Though to be honest I’ve never had any better odds with any other 1/6 maker (or any collectibles company really). The whole collectibles market has a quality control issue, lol.

I finally got an answer from inart regarding my issues.

No „sorry for the issues you encountered“. I thought meanwhile they would know, that they f‘ed up the QC a lot.

It’s been a while since I visited this thread. As much as I think the InArt version is superior compared to HT, the QC issues are understandably frustrating. Minor bends on the ears, bent sections on the right gauntlet fin, and even cases where some collectors (whether they realize it or not) have loose or poorly glued rubber along the sides of the pants.

As collectors who have waited so long from preorder to release, the anxiety of receiving a defective product shouldn’t exist. Hot Toys isn’t perfect either, but I once hoped that InArt could be better than HT, which, unfortunately, it hasn’t been. Especially when it comes to figures with complicated suits.

For me the big difference is that you can easily go find replacement pieces for Hot Toys figures on eBay, Toy Anxiety, etc. Until InArt starts offering just about every figure with a global license, it’s going to be like pulling teeth to try and find replacement parts in the aftermarket. I am annoyed about the couple spots of paint rub on my cowled sculpt, but it’s so minor that it’s not enough to try and get a replacement from the seller. If it were a Hot Toys figure, I would just buy a replacement part. For this I could probably just put that money towards an Unreal custom or something for the price anyone will have the cowl selling on eBay. I also think QC stuff becomes more and more unacceptable as the price point goes up and my experience so far with InArt is 1 of 4 figures without pretty noticeable QC issues.

If I remember correctly, since it was 8 months ago, when Jedha Patrol on Youtube did his review he dropped his and broke an ear. He was able to swap everything over to the empty cowl and use that.

Although you shouldn't have to do this, if that cowl is in good condition that may be an option.
