Yeah this does make me more nervous about pre-orders that only have 2-3 pages worth of discussion. Also having less hope of more HT returns figures.

So sorry to see that this has been canceled.

I did not plan on getting this, but I do think it is a cool looking vehicle that would look great at 1/6 scale.

Sorry to you guys who had ordered this or planned to pick it up at some point later. I have never had a figure I wanted be canceled, I imagine it must be very disappointing.

@JazzInc you know the assignment šŸ˜†
Well that makes more sense. Like I have said for years, large niche vehicles can not have been viable for them. I totally understand them cancelling. I was already VERY surprised they actually put it up for preorder.. This sort of niche product is not suited to their numbers and volume and production process. Good for them to call it.

Lots of stuff hasn't made it past a tease or whatever, but this went up forpre-order ... is this the first time HT has cancelled such an item?

I mean I get it ... it's super niche and the market's changed, but I can't remember seeing this from them before.

It's happened before with these 2...

OH NO!

I can't believe it!
I finally gave up and just preordered it last month...
I really wanted it..
It looked so cool and so badass....and for once it was really original!
We never had one on any scale since Kenner...

I could not wait to install it next to my 89 Batmobile Hot Toys V1.
For once we could have had a really affordable 1/6 Bat vehicle, for not even the price of 2 figures...what a bummer!
I didn't need more details or quality for that vehicle..
The paint looked great, with USB and was accurate enough.

I don't understand, they posted a new promo video just last week ,and it looked even better:

Maybe they should have waited a little longer before pulling the plug...

I hope Jazzinc make it one day, and i'am sure it would be even better, but i doubt i will be able to afford it...
That' really too bad...

(And here i was hoping for one 1/6 scale Batskiboat, that will now surely never happen..)

It comes after their 1/12 89 batwing and 89 bat computer that never saw the light of day but this one was already on PO. Sad for all those who have Preordered.
It certainly did not got enough support.
For these niche vehicles, they should do like Hasbro and their Haslab funding campaignā€¦

I don't think we need to worry about cancellations of the Batman & Robin figures, or about any potential Burton/Schumacher figure releases HT may have in the pipeline.

I'm confident the B&R figures will be fine, especially with the huge resurgence of Burton/Schumacher merch at the moment. It kinda feels like the more merch comes out, the more hype for those original movies builds up. Then the more people want that merch. Just look at the McFarlane B&R wave of figures. They sold out fast, and sell for crazy prices on the aftermarket.

I think possibly the problem with this Batmissile is, that although it's cool, it's just nowhere near as iconic as the Batmobile, or the characters from the films. And it only appeared for a minute. So it's a harder sell in big numbers. And the fact they're cancelling this so soon after it went up, suggests the preorder numbers were bad from the start.

Sucks for those that wanted it but I never felt this was gonna sell well. For every person that likes it there's a village worth of people that think it looked ridiculous in the film and were just as shocked as me when they announced it.
