That's what scares me. šŸ˜±
I'm afraid they won't match my QMX figures. I hope I'm wrong.
-Jim

IMO they probably won't match. Technology has moved forward a bit, so tailoring, paint, and sculpts should all be better then the figured produced by QmX years ago. I do acknowledge though that isn't always the case, we've seen some figs just this past year from several companies including Exo-6 that just aren't as good as they should be.

We've also seen where several of the figures produced by Exo-6 are already superior quality wise to the QmX ones. TNG Picard will be the first true 1 for 1 comparison, and we should see those comparisons within the next few days.

That's pretty much how I figured. What a waste. I sure can't plop down another $1500.00 + on another set.šŸ¤Ŗ

Yeah the proportions and tailoring are sure to be vastly better than the QMX versions, which had those overly bulky bodies and loose fitting tunics.

You might be OK. Sure the tailoring might be more refined but I would think the actual uniform colours would match between the two assuming NT was responsible for that sourcing at QMx.

Thereā€™s also the odd retailer that breaks down figures into individual components, itā€™s possible you could pick up new uniforms if there was some sort of eye catching mismatch.

Well, in terms of TOS, the "tailoring" comes down to basically a T-Shirt and some rolled cuff black pants. Sure, some might be a bit less loose fitting than others, but I'd assume those simple TOS uniforms are going to look quite good on display even if the fit is a 7 or 8 out of 10 compared to a 9 or a 10.

A few exceptions apply to that opinion (e.g. Uhura and Aliens) because those uniforms/attire are a bit more complex. But the good news is that QMX didn't make any of those, so nothing to look out of place against.

So for the most part, I think the QMX pieces are quite good and will not look out of place in the display, but I am looking forward to upgrading my QMX Spock because that sculpt always looks to me like they skipped the final refinement process and looks like he was sculpted out of clay, and you can still see most of the sculpting marks.

TW is now offering a $30 discount on all IN-STOCK Trek figures with code: 24HOLIDAY30. That means Kruge is only $265, Pike is $195, etc.

Agreed, however I think Qmx Spock looks better than Qmx Kirk

Even on screen you would often see color differences between the same color tunics, since they faded quickly during washing. So no need for everything to match perfectly.
For example the TOS shiny blue medical shirts that McCoy, Christine and other nurses were wearing differ considerably in color when standing together.

Hmm, for me it's the opposite. In fact QMx Kirk head sculpt is not bad. At least the prototype pics, I don't have the actual figs. The bodies, forget about it.
