Aragorn has become the 'Joker' of LOTR. Divisive.

Thank goodness no one cares too much for Legolas... he should be a hit all the way 'round.
Just wait till he's released. I'm sure InArt will cut corners and people will cry fowl. I'm sure they they will nitpick to death Legolas' hair braids as well. Probably be a millimeter too small or too big or too long or too short. 🧐🧐🧐

I definitely misspoke – it’s what I get for being on this forum on my phone and on the fly. I think it’s awesome.

However, for INART figs I’ve seen in person, I still think Smirking Joker, Harry, Gandalf, Superman, and Raccoon and Cowled Batman have stronger likenesses with respect to their own sources though. Idk, I think Viggo has a distinct look based on every scene, making it harder to pinpoint a true overall base likeness.

EDIT: that being said, I think INART Aragorn is one of the best 1/6 mass produced figures of all time.
Same thing with Ford as Indy. Everyone has this ideal look of the character or what the character / actor looks like in their mind. So people have different "favorites" as far as custom sculpts go.

Looks like a caveman Jesus.

I just don't get why people become overtly upset and very defensive over criticisms. At least, this hasn't turned into some of the threads over at the DC side. I actually enjoy reading HT threads more because with the years of criticism thrown at them, nobody really gets upset if some opinions vary from theirs.

Of the InArt sculpts, I actually think Aragorn is their most accurate to date. It's wild how divisive it is. Maybe I just got a well-painted/rooted sculpt and that's coloring my perspective. He's definitely my FOTY.

I can't imagine a mass-produced figure looking better than this 🤟

Aragorn has gone from the single most anticipated figure of all time, to the single most divisive figure of all time. There's been some polarizing figures before, for better or worse, but never quite like this.

So I noticed in justin's review, he has an extra wired cloak (5:35), is this not included in our premium versions?

No they only included it from orders directly from InArt which meant that the majority of collectors couldn't get it. They added it as an 'improvement' but said it was a site exclusive in the most bizarrely worded English that we were all confused when the figures started to arrive without it. It's a joke considering he wears it for most of the movie and the Elven cloak they included is trash and the wrong colour, fabric and weave.

You can pre-order a third party one here: https://onesixthkit.com/index.php?r...AKr6XfTaLCGs5O8dvA_aem_oy4-QrpgZe-n8z2PoFbW0Q

Is this figure divisive though?

That's not the impression I'm getting.

I know people have different preferences for the hair styling / coloring, but I think most (if not everybody) considers this a pretty solid release.

If you're completely dissatisfied with this figure (QC aside), then I'm not sure what licensed figures you're collecting that set a much higher standard.

The @Gipetto0812 standard. I’d love to know what those are for mass production.

I haven't heard Gipetto's opinion on this.

But this is as good as it gets for licensed figures. If you're going in with higher expectations, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. (Unless it's a QC problem).

Inart's QC keeps me up at night.

This is the only Inart figure I've received with an actual QC issue 😭 Hopefully I can get a replacement sword soon
