This is wild. Bigbadtoystore JUST decided to start returning people’s money, got my refund the other day; and NOW the figure comes out 🤨🤣

Still no unboxing yet

Review is up. Looks okay. Pretty much like the prototype with no improvements that I see. Stitching and buttons look large on the shirts. Sculpts are fine. A bit on the softer side but not terrible. Weapons look a bit cheap being just plastic pieces.

I will say if you were happy with the prototype you can’t be too mad. It looks basically identical.

Agreed that it took way longer than it should have. Wonder what happened behind the scenes and if this is a one off release for this company or if they’ll make more figures.

All things considered for $270 there are things in this set that make it worthwhile in my opinion. Leaning towards grabbing it.

I got a notice about the time these little teasers started showing up about Dexter Original Sin premiering on 12/13. Is that what they were waiting for?

That looks basically exactly like the prototype... And that's not a bad thing. What the **** took them so long?

Educated guess, but ... actor approvals. I'm guessing the license started as part of the run-up to New Blood, but after that Hall stopped responding to requests. It's probably not a coincidence that the figure gets finished around the same time a new series is starting up again.

I had pre-ordered this through sideshow a couple years ago and canceled it.

The first thing that I liked about this is the knife roll. The knives could be painted more of a shiny chrome. The blood slide box is completely wrong. The gloved hands are completely wrong. I am a Dexter fanatic and an OG here on the freaks. When back in the day we were all trying to make a Dexter figure and then getting caught by Showtime with c&D's.

Either way I'm glad this figure finally came out and hopefully they break it down and sell some parts.

Honestly, this looks very good. Yeah, knives could be better painted, tailoring could be nicer (although at two feet away you can't see the stitches anymore). Paint apps on the sculpts could be crispier, but it's a whole lot better of what other licensed companies offer (looking at you Kaustic Plastic...). And for the love of god I can't see the cartoonish look people keep mentioning.
