Love the news. Now we just need them to sell. Yea they got way to big headed with Venom. But it's Venom so Venom is going to sell but he didn't sell nearly as much cause of ...SPiderman. You know the main character your stupid universe was based on?

I LOVE how they lied to the people who joined these movies making it seem like they were going to connect to the MCu or Holland spidey in some way and they never do. Which is why they probably Ended it the week of this crappy movie. Nobody wants to be a part of there stupid universe and won;t be tricked into it.
Good job Sony and the idiots who trust Avi arad and Amy pascal (the people who are stuck in the 00s) You killed any good faith or what little you had by creating crappy villain movies to try and hold onto the rights that lead to nothing.

Seriously for the 20 people who love these movies i'm sorry but a universe with Spiderman Villinas without Spiderman was doomed to fail.

And what's hilarious is that without Spiderman most of these villians are C- D list at best. Kraven isnt even on Lizard's level or Rhino in terms of popularity. His best story is literally when he kills himself lmao.

Lol they Teased people for years that SPiderman would be in these movies but he never came and people caught on. Sheesh if it wasn't for WB I would think Sony is the dumbest studio in Hollywood.
Breaking story (again)

Bad news the article was misleading and misrepresented Sony is NOT stopping lol

:chase

Wasn't that SNIKT guy all into that and defending it?
Yes he claimed he was in the “know” in Hollywood and said venom was the start of an r rated Spider-Man universe which would lead to maximum carnage. And Spider-Man will be taken out the mcu

Funny stuff

He must have some type of sway with them. He literally destroyed the Tasm verse and now lost any good will Sony has with live action adaptions. They need to just shut all the way the hell up and play with Disney and make those damn Spiderverse movies or Sell.

If you are dumb enough to have the rights to Spiderman characters and want a universe and not use other existing spider people like Miles,2099 and Scarlet Spider then you don't deserve the rights.

lol at a Kraven lead movie

One of the serious lines of dialogue in this movie is:

“My grandmother died on that trip and I never saw her again”

NO **** you never saw her again, she DIED! lol

What’s even funnier is NONE of the characters in there stupid universe interacted with each other 😂

Due to a bizarre twist of fate that I won't even get into I actually...saw this movie, in a Premium Atmos auditorium...on opening night. Not on my cinematic Bingo card prior to this week, lol.

And...I really enjoyed 80% of it. I didn't know it was gonna be rated R and I didn't know that Russell Crowe was going to be in it and finally actually playing a badass again. ATJ (that felt weird to type so I double-checked to be sure, yep he has the same initials as Anya Taylor-Joy, lol) was jacked as hell, Calypso was cool, the whole cast was pretty solid in fact.

I felt like it had much more in common with John Wick, Sisu, and Blade than anything from the MCU...until that freaking Rhino fight that ironwez shows above. Sigh. I wish they had just kept it gritty, bloody, and "grounded" through to the very end. Not only was Rhino weird looking but they were also surrounded by a never ending stampede of dodgy looking CG buffalo as well. They even added some quippy one-liners to the fight which were all but absent the entire movie before that.

The final scene between Kraven and Crowe was MUCH cooler than the cartoony Rhino fight, I wish that that had been the sole finale and they just let the character who would become the Rhino stay a normal human. From there the film felt like it dragged a bit as the ending seemed to really want to work in some comic book "universe building." So sadly another example of an otherwise solid movie that goes the cliche "CGI slugfest" route at the end.

I *was* really into pretty much the whole film up to that point though, and would definitely watch it again before a good number of MCU films, including Black Panther.
