lol that’s what I’m saying. I’m not a Superman fan and I’m just like that’s not something he would say. Imagine if Batman said “joker I will heal you with the power of love and happiness”

Or Spider-Man “responsibility? **** responsibility”

That reminds me. In Spider-Man 1, Goblin dangles Mary Jane on one side of a bridge and a cable car full of people on the other, forcing Spidey to make an impossible choice, as it seems he can't save both. Does he start crying saying the worlds gone to **** and we all turn bad? No. He ******* digs in, does the impossible and saves both. Like a ******* boss!

Fans seem to prefer that though. I never watched Superman and Lois, other than a few clips here and there, however it seemed to go down well with a lot of Superman fans. People like the story taking place in our world, rather than the overtop nature of comic book universes.
Yeah I thought the S&L series did a much better job with the grounded Superman idea that Snyder, and having him deal with more real world issues (like his wife getting cancer), and being more relatable and less of a God among men.

But I also think the gritty and grounded thing has been done to death by this point, and I'm eager to have a more light and fun kind of Superman movie where he's having crazy adventures and fighting giant space monsters like something from the old Animated Series.

The key is for it to be comic booky without being overly cheesy like the last bunch of DCEU movies...

I can understand not liking aspects of what he did but to say it's not coherent is objectively false.
Only if you're being subjectively objective. :lol

But seriously, I agree that (for example) his extended cut of BvS is more coherent than the theatrical version, but in my subjective opinion that still didn't make it a particularly good story or movie.

So why is everybody not complaining about why he is introducing so many characters . He has the whole Justice league of America in this movie plus a giant godzilla thing and star thing.

Dam they just had wonder woman and Batman in BvS and people were complaing about it nonstop.

At this point DC is a joke. This thing looks ok I guess nothing amazing it's to many characters it looks a little like black adam in that regards.

Who is the main villian in this again the JLA , let, godzilla , or shinny ball?

I know its always been laughable and fans joke about believing no one can tell the difference between Clark and Superman due to a pair of eye glasses. But now, giving him a different hair style too means every time he does a quick change into the S-Man he also has to whip out a comb and some hair gel while changing and removing his glasses with super speed.

Gunn should include a scene with Lois making fun of Clark as to why he always has a comb and hair gel in his back pocket... :lol

That's not where he keeps them lol... :horror

I liked the trailer but if you are going to get that close to John Williams Superman theme why not just use John Williams Superman theme??

If anyone saw this ignore. It is the Superman theme minus some notes.

Caught it the second time.

As a more or less neutral party, it's fine with me. For me Superman is more Reeves/Cavill. If you're talking the "image" of Superman in my head, and not the details of the movie.

This forum/Sup fans may not be happy about it, but normies etc. are probably gonna enjoy it. Am not a Gunn fan either, especially the use of bathroom humor. But it looks big and splashy, which will/might go over well with the summer release. Folks expect summer blockbusters stuffed with stuff.

While MOS is my fav movie and Henry always gonna be my fav Superman, I want this movie to be good as I love Superman. Trailer looks fine?! Too chaotic imo and aesthetically it’s not my cup of tea. Looks like it was shot with an iPhone, there isn’t a single artistically impressive shot. Love or hate Snyder we can all agree that every frame in MOS,BvS,JL look as a renaissance painting. I guess casual moviegoers don’t care about such stuff, so I think general audience gonna enjoy this movie. While Williams theme is iconic nothing can top Zimmer score for me and I think David deserved his own theme.
Anyway I absolutely hate the suit, while I had a hope they’d fix it in post, seems they didn’t do anything. Baggy, rubbery and oversized.

P.S. Godzilla?

He's a grown ass man. You telling me he hasn't figured his principles out by then? I'm all for stretching him, but the dude just lost hope almost immediately. :lol

So he's not even consistent? "No one stays good"...a few moments later...Stays good. JFC!
It's bizarre that you would think he would be ready for what happened.

Have you never had a moment of despair where you've spoken your fears to a loved one? You've never had a "what's the point" but then pushed on? Again a really bizarre complaint.

Krypto (the opposite of dark and gritty characters) is rescuing the character back home into the light. Dark and gritty was never for me for this character. I am quite optimistic now I get my big blue boy scout back and the Williams theme is there too. Take us back home Superman!!!!

Agreed, you absolutely need a sensible level
of doubt in Clark. Something like that,
not flinching at an aluminum can.

Even though he isn’t himself,
he needs humanity in him.

It is what makes people want a hopeful Superman. Not because he’s some alien God that can fix everything, what impact would it have to look onto an alien sacrificing themselves without any tie to the humans on earth it’s helping?

Because he’s not a character in shadows appearing to have zero weaknesses that Batman has always done, but in the public eye doing all of the little things a Bruce doesn’t physically have the time or energy to. By not only showing your strengths it makes you appear relatable despite not being so in the slightest.

It’s the whole point of the farmboy down to earth upbringing to where when the time comes, he’s level headed enough to seek to help. By growing up on Earth, of course he should exercise a proper level of humanly doubt.

I suppose if you've been raised to think it might be OK to let a bus full of school kids die in a watery grave to save your own ass then yeah, I suppose you would be cynical and defeatest.

How good the story is, yes that is subjective. It being coherent isn't.
