Seriously then just drop it from the film title, and the character's name.:lol

He may have just done that.
Wonder if he was always like this or it's the showrunner. I remember way back when Mackie was desperate to get into the MCU and took the job not even knowing what character he was playing.

People are just looking for any reason to tear the film down. It'll be forgotten about the Monday after it opens.

I'm gonna go see it, but I'm looking forward to Daredevil and F4 far more from Marvel in 2025.

Actors always end up saying something crazy or ridiculous during these long press junkets. Not sure why people always take it so seriously.
Because this is right up there with Bri Larsen and her gaffe about saying a movie isn't for u people more or less. And who doesn't love the way Steve Rogers was presented on screen who had been weak physically and remained a good man etc. Warm fuzzies!

So here's his successor who on screen had said there was no better reason to get back in because CAPTAIN AMERICA needed his help - who really needed to recover the ball after the limp TFAWS - fumbling on stage and deflating any small enthusiasm people might have had. Like, what do you even say about such a lame comment. Lol he needs to do better :monkey3 . Never thought I'd look at my Falcon HTs and Iron Studios and feel embarrassed. 😁

I don't have any interest in this but I hope it's good for those that are looking forward to it. I'm not one for hoping a movie flops when there's folks that genuinely enjoy this kind of stuff.

But but but Isaiah was given the super soldier serum and then incessantly whined about it like a todler that lost their binkey while Thanos was attacking all of humanity.

That’s the level of heroism and patriotism we are dealing with now with this new Cap and his pal Isaiah.

I can’t wait to have new Cap lecture me some more on how much the term America sucks!

How about you grow a chin first so that we can punch it lol

I think that people who were already intending to see this understand what he actually meant. Chris Evans said something similar when he took on the role, Mackie just used less poetic language. This is very much navel gazing and noise generated by some people in the USA. People outside the USA (as in most of the world) really don't care about his comments much at all.

I thought F&WS was a step down from WandaVision but it was the Cap story that got me reading the comics (just without the Serpents and Red Skull), so maybe I got a bit more out of it than some. I re-watched it recently and I enjoyed it th second time around.

People have been angry about him for various reasons, usually along the lines of: Not My Captain; he isn't a super soldier; he has no powers; how can a man wearing vibranium armour and wielding a vibranium shield take a punch from a hulk; Captain DEI; Bucky, despite having been a Russian agent and assassinating a US President, should have got the shield; and my personal favourite, Captain Africa (which would mean, of course that Steve would have been Captain Ireland, you racist morons, but I digress). They will bang the drum loudly no matter how he tries to spin or clarify what he said. I think worldwide, the number of people outside the echo chambers who are bothered by this will be fairly small. Word of mouth will be more important and, until enough people have seen it to form a view, I will reserve judgement.
