I would just do the surgery. I broke mine after having it out of the box for 10 minutes and it worked for me. A couple minutes with a drill beats the hassle of sending it back.

I wouldn't do it, like I said, they all appear to be like that. Even of the people who said theirs weren't like that, their photos tell a different tale when they show the left shoulder.

Thanks for the welcome, but it wasn't my shot. It's just one of the many that show the gap as I was looking through previous shots in this thread.

No, you're not. Mine's like that, didn't notice until I saw your post. Looking at other photos I would guess they're all like that. Here's one that's pretty close to the same angle as your photo. All the other photos I've seen that show the left shoulder from the back have the same gap.
