Head paint progress of jakks head change.

I am the Jakks swap head guy! I am a newbie here and making custom figures. This is my 2nd attempt on customizing actually, the other is the jakks superman. Thank you sir for liking what I have so far. Here's a few pics on where I am with the batflekk.

I almost did it the way you and Mr. Mei did, and I would have loved to keep the Neca's head... the detail paint is really good I think. It's more of form I had a problem with. I would have guessed someone posted it already... I have not looked at past posts here. :)

Thanks HeubertMichael! It ain't complete yet but it's getting there. Just scoring it slowly would do the trick. Actually the NECA body is still a little off in person when you have the JAKKS head on it. I think the arms are too long and the waist a bit wide.

Thank you DiFabio! Just need to be careful and take it slow. What would be a great project if you are really thinking of doing something is getting the 31" jakks and making that in to a bust.

Had to be really careful jye4ever. Just keep scoring down with the blade till you get through.

The Neca mouth/chin is a lot longer, Psycho. Plus the shape of the cowl is also off in my opinion but others could see it differently.

Thanks Platty! Here's some images that would help. I cut off the cowl carefully from the body using an exacto blade which took a while. I wanted to remove it neatly because I was thinking of reusing the body for another custom. Removed the 2 pegs that the screws that goes across the 2...

I really think that the Jakks figures are 3d scans of the actors in they're costumes. They just look so spot on.

I was having second thoughts on going on with it. I already removed the head from Jakks and just waited for the Neca to arrive. I wanted to wait and see with my own eyes if I can live with the existing head and just as suspected... I couldn't. I had to replace it.

Just got the this and it's great except for one thing... the head is not good. So I removed it and replaced it with the Jakk's batman head. It's definitely smaller but I am not too bothered by it. I just had to replace the head, it's just not good. Still working on attaching it properly...

Removed Neca's Affleck head replaced it with Jakk's Batman. Definitely a bit smaller but much better than what it had before. I'll be repainting this and replacing the cape with pleather soon. Just wanted to share this custom which I think is still under the jakks category although just using...

I love that people getting into customizing these jakks figures. Here's my take on the 19" superman. This is my first time repaint of a figure. Thanks jakks for making these accurate figures!!!
