    Tupuxuara - Pterodactyl

Weird how they give you a choice like that. I just got the normal "In stock" notice a minute ago.

    Tupuxuara - Pterodactyl

Indeed. Though I'm even more pleased to hear that the CollectAs are arriving this week. Never thought I'd say that. :lol
  3. dansdinosaurs

    Tupuxuara - Pterodactyl

    Received 20-25 day notice!

    Tupuxuara - Pterodactyl

The 30-day list was completely omitted from today's newsletter, the retailer version. It's only thanks to Jeremy I knew anything about this. :lol

Haha, this would actually be the first dinosaur-related thing I've purchased for myself... in a long while. And it would probably be the only thing for a while longer, particularly if this Apatosaurus is released soon.

I know one person who's getting it. :yess:

I take it that's where you've been spending your time, then? Just say yes, to make us all jealous.

Ah, so this is Pastori's work. The swan-like neck curl still looks odd to me.

Nah, he doesn't need to be bothered by our quibbling. I like the baby sauropods, and the bipedal running sort of reinforces the similarities of young sauropods with adult prosauropods. I think Holtz wrote about that somewhere, unless I'm mistaken.

I don't think the nasal horn should be facing forward, either. Anyway, it's still a stunning piece. It's almost frightening to think of someone this talented becoming even more skilled over time. :google

Well, it does have forward-facing digits, but that wouldn't be enough to dissuade me personally.

It actually looks like he's holding a real dinosaur in his hand. Is this considered the new correct brow horn length for Chasmosaurus? I haven't been keeping up.

I had the calendar, but sent it to someone else before opening it. I always assumed that was the baby, though it could be blurred by the soft framing effect they've used on the image. And yes, I'm sure your haunted house patrons would be surprised by your soothsaying abilities. :lol

    Tupuxuara - Pterodactyl

I do like the idea of a statue with pterosaurs or birds riding on a dinosaur. I see it all the time in two-dimensional artwork, but never three-dimensional sculpture for some reason.

Good eye! That is indeed by Leanza, although I've never seen the rest of the body.

Rip you apart? More likely we'd impale you with our thumb claws. Be courageous and ask though, because that's how we learn. I'm saying this as someone whose paleontological knowledge is moderate, at best. :lol And yes, of course, Delgado doesn't build these stories to be super-accurate...

    Tyrannosaurus rex maquette

Yeah, that's what my guess would be as well. Tony doesn't produce the kits any more, so make sure you take good care of that one!
  18. dansdinosaurs

    Tupuxuara - Pterodactyl

It looks like some kind of iguanodontid to me. Isn't that an elongated thumb claw?
  19. dansdinosaurs

    Tyrannosaurus rex maquette

Nice buildup! I can't see from this angle, but do you know what animal it seems to be feeding on?
