JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

I'll be happy just to hear what you think about it in person and how it compares / differs from what you've seen up until now in the photos and videos. I'm particularly interested to hear about how the blue colour looks in person. It sounds like your expectations are similar to mine ie: wanting...

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Oh that's fantastic. I'm envious of you guys who are getting them now. Mine was ordered through an authorised distributor so I'll be waiting at least another month I think. Look forward to seeing your photos of the statue and hearing your thoughts about what it's like in person! Enjoy :)

    These look SOOOOO good!

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I put the correct size and style of Last Crusade Fedora onto one of JND's reveal photos and just added a little bit of shadow to the forehead. It does improve it for sure if only they'd reduce the amount of angle on those painful eyebrows!

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

I wonder when we'll see the first unboxing video / photos from a customer? Once again, it's interesting to note people's perception of these pieces. Art Statue Collector put his video from Wonderfest on Youtube and his reaction from seeing both of them was that Superman "looked just like him"...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Let's just hope we see a big improvement on the production reveal. Someone over on Statue Forum posted that JND had stated they'd heard the comments and will be trying to improve it. When I asked where that info was posted, I never heard back from the OP so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt at...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Strange how people's cameras pick up the colours so differently. I guess we shouldn't trusting any of these photos for colour accuracy. Look at the colour of Indy's bag. I bet it doesn't look that muted colour when viewing it in person.

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Better! Thanks for posting those Shoo. I'm not seeing anything that stands out as a downgrade on the Clark statue. Both look superb in these photos (to my eyes anyway).

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

I'm nervously waiting to see / hear people's thoughts when they've got it in hand. I'll be waiting for another month or two because my order was with TRZ Collectibles (JND authorized retailer), so guess mine will be coming last. Hope we're all pleasantly surprised when we receive ours!

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

Yes, it's the 1/4 scale. I spent many, many hours helping him out with it, not to mention sending him the pieces of accurate colored fabric for the pants, shirt and jacket. After he got to a point where he was happy with the accuracy of all his pieces and no longer needed any input from me, he...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I doubt I'll get a response. It's annoying because I sent the same fabric to Arnie Kim a few years ago when I was working closely with him to help with the accuracy of his 1/4 scale Indiana Jones. He managed to get a VERY close matching fabric for the pants so I'm sure JND could source it too...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I can't afford to cancel my order because TRZ Collectibles will keep 50% of the total amount if cancelled, so I will keep the order and see how it looks in person before deciding whether to sell it on the secondary market if I don't like it.

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I did pre-order it and already purchased many custom parts to turn it into a Raiders Indy. I had direct contact with Daniel Na at JND Studios and shipped him some accurate colored pants fabric which he gave to the art director for the project who thanked me for shipping it out to them. They told...

I won't be satisfied until they can give us this! Do you think I should lower my expectations? LOL.

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I posted this message on the Indiana Jones reveal video on James Park's youtube channel: "Hello James. What has happened to the Indiana Jones statue? It looks VERY bad in the Shanghai Wonderfest photos I'm seeing today. I shipped the correct colour of pants fabric to Daniel Na who passed it on...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I just had a quick play around in Photoshop because I was curious to see how my custom Raiders of the Lost Ark parts will look on the JND statue.

No, just cover up the eyebrows and there he is

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

It's actually near flawless (to me at least) apart from the eyebrows. Everything else on the face and ears matches up superbly. It's just the awful eyebrow expression choice and mediocre Fedora sculpt that's throwing it off. IF you zoom in on this screencap from their reveal video so you can't...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

They've got REALLY close if you ignore the eyebrows (and assuming the gauntness is caused by lens distortion from people's camera phones and not actually sculpted thin like that). With the eyebrows levelled out more, it becomes much better very quickly.
