1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the steering wheel. This starts as 3 discs of 2mm plasticard stuck together. I had looked at curtain rings and earrings, but there was nothing the right size available. The centre is drilled out and the edges bevelled. After sanding, 3 notches are cut out for the spokes. The...

1/6 Scale Jurassic Park Jeep (scratch build)

Looks great so far! You should be able to get some RC wheels and tyres, which will greatly improve the realism. Look for Rock crawler wheels. Ignore the scale and go by the size of the tyre diameter. For a model this size, it should be around 120mm diameter. You can also get engine models at 1/6...

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Exhausts made and fitted, just the 2 forward pipes that go into the engine bay to finish.

Apologies for the long delay updating this thread. I had been away to Osaka for 2 weeks, but managed to hurt my shoulder whilst i was there. I had to let it rest for a bit, so no work on the car. I hope to get it all done in about 2 months, before the warm weather disappears for rest of the...

1/6 Amish Clothing? Particularly a straw sun hat?

The upcoming Hot Toys One piece figure has a straw hat. You might be able to find one, once it gets parted out.

    Custom 90's Andre Agassi

Love it! Great job on all the gear. The shirt should have a zip collar. I still have mine from 1992.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the rear lights. These are 2 lengths of 8mm square perspex rod, glued together with a 0.75mm strip of black plasticard between them. The ends are shaped to match the light openings. Another strip of plasticard is glued around the edge. Making the reflectors. This is a stack of 5 2mm...

1:6 Mad Max needed his Interceptor...that crazy idea became reality

Great job on the paint and weathering. Are there any pics of the interior? Can the doors open?

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the inner bumper. I reinforced the joints with brass rod. The finished bumper is screwed into place. At first, i wasn't going to bother making this part, as i much prefer how it looks undamaged. Then i realised, much of the inner structure is visible once the hood is opened. The...

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

I made a mounting plate for the motor, to drive the supercharger belt. Motor attached. I will build the gearbox casing around the motor to hide it. Kick it in the guts, Barry!

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the bonnet hinges. Adding detail to the underside of the hood. Hinges glued into place. The tape is to maintain a consistent panel gap.

Making the iconic hood scoop. I started with the base and the lower part of the scoop. The top part is shaped them glued into place. After much tidying up, it's fitted to the block. There are still a few pipes to add to the base.

Finished making the seat. Making the fuel tank. I started by making the basic shape, then adding strips to create the ridges. I will make it detachable to hide the battery bank.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Roll cage made and fitted. Did a bit more work to the rear wheels. Started making the frame for the jump seat. I've used square brass rod inside for strength.

Added the rear interior panels and cross bracing. Next step is the roll cage. Exterior door handles made. These will be functional.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

I remade the fuel tanks so they are much larger than before. Previously, I used the largest diameter pipe i could find. Then i realised i could buy half pipe closer to the correct diameter needed and glue them in 2 halves. The gauges on the back are now correctly sitting just above the edge of...

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the inner door panels. The door cards are missing, but this actually means even more work, as i have to replicate all the little details in the stampings.

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Making the inserts for the rear wheels. There are 18 spokes, so have to be carefully marked out. The holes are drilled then cut out with a scalpel. Glued to the rims. Just the wheel bolts and centre caps to add. I also remade the front wheel rims. These were too small before, making the...

1/6 DID MA80170 F/A-18E Pilot – Captain Mitchell (Tom Cruise, Maverick)

I managed to get it resolved eventually. My PO was indeed cancelled, so he sent me a direct link to the invoice, which i paid straight away. I've never had any issues like this before, so hopefully it was just a one off glitch. I got the figure 2 days ago. (y)

    JazzInc Batman Forever 1/6 Batmobile

You can read about that incident here: https://www.collectorfreaks.com/threads/jazz-inc-1-6-1966-batmobile.246857/page-16 Even though Joost assured me that they would send out a replacement, if it couldn't be found, that doesn't change what happened. I would prefer not to have to deal with...
