Hot Toys Predator: Jungle Hunter 2.0

Honestly I'm not too put off with HT dropping the ball here. I've got the Classic Predator with the bone necklaces. I've been very happy with that for years now, so they really need to wow me to convince me to go in again.

1/6 Hot Toys - CMS022/CMS022B Marvel Comics Doctor Doom

They will definitely make an RDJ Doom. But we don't know what it will look like yet so impossible to say if it will be an improvement. I don't forsee a diecast version but there is a possibility for a more comic accurate hono version down the road.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

I believe Donald Rumsfeld would refer to this as a "known unknown."

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

Huh, I also haven't seen it in years but figured that was the main suit they used given all the toys and the promo pics. I googled it and saw they did wear the dark ones in the film but I'm not sure how much. Odd.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

In Ghostbusters 2 their suits were darker gray. Unless you mean the birthday party scene.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

Though even lighting of the prototypes could be affecting this, as someone mentioned earlier, the suits appear to be gray, as opposed to the tan color of the first release. This is another nice thing that sets this set apart. The suits appear to be different colors throughout the film. I...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

That's obviously a screen capture from the film.

InArt - Severus Snape Collectible Figure

Likeness could definitely be improved. And more and more I'm seeing the drawbacks of the "real" haired dolls with this company. If you don't have the ability to futz it just right then the figures look off, as is the case here in my opinion (and with the various in-hand shots I've seen of...

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

I think the new Ray sculpt is awesome, too.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

Eye I know business is business, and Star Ace has never lived up to the expectations many collectors have for what their products should be. But, I feel kind of bad for Star Ace in this situation. What a punch in the gut to go through all the trouble and investment to secure the license...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I've admired Raymond's work for many years, and long ago learned to simply enjoy seeing what is possible, and accept that nothing stock I have will be on that level. No shame in having something that is very good and not borderline perfection. But this one is really striking in how it looks like...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Looks like the stock eyebrows really hurt his likeness. Raymond's version is amazing, but gives me pause about this figure, because now I know the lack of likeness in other pics isn't just attributable to lighting and angles.

Getting Priced out, how about you?

I've definitely scaled down what I collect, but we are getting some things now that I've wanted for a long time like comic styled hot toys figures. I've got 5 figures on pre-order and see a few on the horizon that I'll pick up. But I can't imagine getting more than a handful of figures a year...

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

They do look fantastic, though I expect some degradation in production so what you see on the shelf won't be that exactly. Depending on price I might reup. That new Ray expression is the same as one Rocco did years ago.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

That would be great, but surely would warrant a stand-alone release.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

If they do another special pack, I hope they at least change up the additional items included. If they do, say, the ghost that flies out of the subway or the librarian ghost (probably too crazy to imagine a demon dog), I might be persuaded to buy.

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

I'm trying to compare these to the ones on the Blitzway website with the existing prototypes (for example: https://blitzway.com/products/raymond-stantz-ghostbusters-product?_pos=1&_sid=6655bcdc7&_ss=r), and there do seem to be some other differences, though it's hard to know for sure without...

Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures

I took screen grabs from the video posted above. Neutral sculpts look very similar to the previous ones. Differences may be due to prototype vs production, but maybe there were minor tweaks.
