InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

Yeah, I missed the boat on the Premium Jack Sparrow. Tho we can always get ripped off pay extra and get a fig.:monkey2 Makes me uneasy, like one of those companies that needs the money from POs etc. I'll put in a down payment but I wouldn't pay off until it's shipping, not even a payment plan...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

Agree it's a shame. Over the years I've enjoyed and marveled over ASMUS and even Sideshow (what little I have of theirs) attention to details (including Gandalf's pants :monkey3 ; the tiny armor scales on Thorin's armor and the etchings on 1/6 swords, and so on). Like I was thrilled InArt at...

A few tiny bangs cut:oops:, shampoo, light hair oil, blot dry, brush tho u are not supposed to brush wet wool it frizzes, freak out no pun intended WTF:eek::eek::eek: Bite bullet, ponder the wisdom/comments from some board member (thanks!(y)), hit up Amazon for gel, forceps, and tiny...

It would if you make a braid and saturate it with the same glue they use for rooting or with product. If they've managed to make Hermione's hair more or less straight then I imagine they can handle this.

????? A few pages back you'll see the disappointment. I agree with your sentiments. Not everyone feels that way, a reasonable reason being they don't want to cover up the outfit. For other reasons and other figures, from others' comments think InArt is finding their way, and I mean that in a...

Yep, gotta tame those curls in a *manly way*. Be who you were born to be!

Not mine; I still like ASMUS use of fabrics, details, weapons and at least V1 when rooted looked pretty good (tho I don't own a customized). And possibly ASMUS could come out with a sculpt upgrade so I could save some money. Er. I'd be more enthused maybe if I weren't looking at a 2-3 year wait.

No, he is not worth those prices. Although "worth" is subjective. I've overpaid for both WETA pieces and figures but that's just gouging. The sculpt isn't perfect and neither is the hair. The eyeballs are plastic. The clothes are nice enough but they are inexpensive materials. There's a nice...

I get if if they were super powerful so maybe it's easier to switch hands? On the plus side tho he seems to be able to hold a sword firmly so far, no wobbles. LOL new respect for Viggo having to deal with a sword that long, even if it was a lighter weight aluminum "action sword".

I finally switched a hand out, but not getting why they went with magnets vs. regular 'ol pegs.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Aragorn's elven cloak has a seam down the hood. When I pull the hood up it looks like a windsock or that Alien mutant with the long pointy head. Fortunately there's no reason to have the eleven cloak hood up. And I'm happy with my ASMUS Nazguls. Or, like, putting out diorama bases which is...

It's a good feeling - at least for me - when something is at least in the country and/or neighboring city. It occurs to me with an upcoming 1,2, movies planned in the future there may be an explosion of Aragorns. Which won't replace an LOTR version, but we could be overrun with Aragorns. I...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I would have too, especially factoring in costs and what you get. Haven't had an issue with ASMUS costumes, accessories, etc. In general, overall I think ASMUS makes better use of fabrics, or chooses better fabrics, keeping within its cost point. My cons over this fig so far: 1) At least with...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Yeah, the thought idly floated across my mind since I'm getting into hair dressing😁; maybe brush some darker dye in while I was at it - but I'm not a student of Aragorn/Viggo. Mostly I remember the line from the book about "shaggy dark hair" and then there's all the color grading/lighting that...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Thank you! No, I don't think it's a "defect" per se, but just the variants of production work and dealing with fiber - either artificial or real. So some folks are gonna get a nice look out of the box - I didn't, because of the curl and I didn't like the way the hair was matted from product...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Thanks, yeah, I wasn't expecting to do anything except minor futzing. Like, I don't have super freeze hair gel. But no worries, anyone who buys extra weapons, mugs, horses, etc. can get hair gel and spend some time. Long term project would be how to make a "Rohan" saddle in 1/6 which of course...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Good point (y) . I'll probably just go with wetting the hair, products, and weighting the hair with mini clips to dry. Which basically is just redoing what InArt had done, except reducing some of the curl and/or clumping the hair more finely. Was hoping to have less product but there's just...

    1/6 Hot Toys - DX26 - Obi-Wan Kenobi Series : Obi-Wan Kenobi

Disagree. Good writers are good writers. Look at Andor, a series I didn't think I'd care much about. And on another note, am a bit bummed this fig got delayed again, looks really great. Guess I will have in time for Christmas. :monkey2 My last payment is supposedly October but who knows...

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power | Amazon Prime Video - September 2, 2022

Not being an expert but - Hobbit movies had great cast, performances, charisma, WETA's design work, and for me anyway really enjoyed the depictions of Mirkwood, Laketown, Eregor, Dol Guldur, Gundabad, Beorn's farm. There's stuff I didn't like, but plenty there to seize the imagination. Like...
