InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I can only echo what everybody else is saying. I was ready to drop money on this immediately. But I had a limit of $600 on my mind. I even woke up randomly at 4:30 am this night, half an hour after it went live. I went straight to OSK, saw the prices, and thought "nope, this is not a middle of...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

Oh wow, that's good to know! I have to pay customs for nearly all international items I receive here in NL, but my three purchases from OSK so far (including the humongous Joker deluxe) went straight through without problems. I started using OSK exactly for this reason, because so many Europeans...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

From OSK you don't pay customs, even in Europe/EU. I don't know how exactly he does it, but customs are "pre-paid", so you get it directly without having to pass through customs at all. I like LCDN, but you'd be paying a pretty hefty fee on top.

Hot Toys Terminator 2: Judgment Day: T-800 (Galleria version) 2.0

Wow, so this is happening! Begun the Terminator Wars have... HT really needs to bring their A game for me to get this, though. While the DX10 is the most outdated figure in my collection, I don't want to buy a "5% incremental improvement" figure. I want something next level. I'm really hoping...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

This is the epitome of first world problems, but it sucks that the pre-order goes live at 4 am in my time zone, and I can't be first in line to pre-order my dolly (my wife would kill me if I set an alarm for 4 am).

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I hope that's a typo. I have enough pre-orders for Q1-Q3 next year, was actually hoping this would be a ~Q4 '25 release. On the other hand, if this means that the influencer batch is Q1 and the regular release Q3, then it's not that different in the end. Pretty sure that shot is not to scale...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Oh wow, I didn't know Aragorn was that "cheap". That gives me more hope for the price! Edit: Just saw that sculpted Aragorn was $335 from OSK. That would still make $300 expensive for the Nazgûl without a sculpt though, so hopefully it is closer to the aforementioned $260.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I hope so. With the die-cast, I could see this closer to $300 and $550 though.

    Hello from Toy Anxiety!!

@Toy Anxiety Will you be parting out more DX28 Darth Vaders?

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

This is definitely growing on me! I even like the pose of the horse. Still not my preferred pose, but it does have that imposing menacing look to it that I am seeking. Even the seam does not stand out much in these photos, though that still is my #1 issue that I'm hoping they fix. I might just...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

First layer of primer done. There's still some roughness around the left side and the bottom lip that I need to sand, and it's time to cut out the chin vent properly.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Same. I don't have the Asmus steed, but I'm not a fan of the horse's pose so far. Hopefully it will have swap out parts. My mental image of the steed is an imposing stance - basically like yours. This is why I don't collect statues, I want to decide on the pose myself. I'm still really looking...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Wow, this feels sudden. Excited to see the full gallery, I'm cautiously optimistic that they made improvements to the hood. This shot appears to still have a seem right in the middle, though.

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

Haha, thanks man. I just did another round of sculpting on the chin. The super sculpey I originally used to resculpt the chin vent, before deciding to go all out, was too brittle and hadn't cured fully, so I carved it out and used milliput now. Once it's dry and I've sanded it, I'm actually...

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - 1/6th scale Darth Maul™ Collectible Figure (25th anniversary)

Does anybody remember what the total price for this was (normal version without speeder) on OSK? I forgot to write it down.

    1/6 Hot Toys MMS699 & MMS700 ROTJ Darth Vader

Yeah the big change in size was from ANH to ESB. The change from ESB to ROTJ is much more subtle. That's exactly it. What I'm talking about here is not really relevant to most collectors. As you say in your sig, I'm at the "desire for perfection" end of the spectrum though. ;) Over the past 6...

    1/6 Hot Toys MMS699 & MMS700 ROTJ Darth Vader

I made a new inner robe from a different fabric that drapes much better. The cape is still the HT, but I removed the inner liner and shortened it (too much though). Once I'm done with the body and chest armor mods (so I know the final height needed), I'll make a new cape from the same fabric as...

    1/6 Hot Toys MMS699 & MMS700 ROTJ Darth Vader

Vader did have a larger chin vent in ROTJ compared to ESB, and the vent on the stunt helmet during the throne room battle was even slightly bigger than during the rest of the movie IIRC. I don't have the 1:6 ROTJ so I don't know for sure, but on the 1:4, which the 1:6 appears to be based on...

    1/6 Hot Toys MMS699 & MMS700 ROTJ Darth Vader

I've been wondering what you did with your kaiyodo Vader! That's a great line-up. Agreed that no Vader has come to 100% yet. I don't think that is impossible to obtain though. Some human sculpts are so difficult to capture it seems impossible to get right, but Vader is technically only painted...

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

They also reused the same undersized grenades in his bandolier. These are the details that bother me when they make a 2.0, but don't fix anything other than the sculpt.
