Shumi Arts - ShumiRai SCFC001 - 1/6 Scale Hikaru the Bounty Hunter (ヒカル)

The base was what sold me on the Shumi version. This one looks different, but I am sure if I compare the two, they will be very similar if not identical

Let's talk Samurai figures & related

I bought this figure from Monsters in Motion. I think the IP is an Asian internet cartoon. His name is listed as Bad Handsome I modified my figure drastically. It was a lot of fun to work on him
  3. BACON!

InArt - The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon 1/6 Scale Figure

Initially, my take was like "I don't need these"; then I saw the Daryl Dixon series on Netflix and now I most definitely need Daryl at least. Even if I already have a threezero version

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

I would rather have that than a George Lucas type revisionist history. That movie was made a long, long time ago

Shumi Arts - ShumiRai SCFC001 - 1/6 Scale Hikaru the Bounty Hunter (ヒカル)

just look back a few pages. I linked to one article that basically said JND was willing to pay for all of Shumi's IP, but Shumi's IP was never licensed to begin with. If Shumi never trademarked this character, it was anybody's game anyway

Getting Priced out, how about you?

Yeah, payment plans. My first experience with those was for the Hulkbuster. I never envisioned that I could afford a (then) $800 figure, but yeah, I could swing $50-$60 a month for a year or two. That changed my whole perspective, and appeared to make what appeared to be inaccessible figures...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

That bottom cap is NEVER going back on any inart base again
  8. BACON!

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Duh! Why didn't I think of that?!?! Thanks for the suggestion
  9. BACON!

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I think InArt is over thinking the magnetic base. If you look at JPT's Silent Hound figure, the feet are magnetic and the base is just a circle of metal. He can have super dynamic poses that way. It may be easier/cheaper for Inart to go with a solid piece of metal underneath the plastic base. I...

$466 for the HT Samurai Predator 2.0. What did the first version sell for?

Getting Priced out, how about you?

This September brought me InArt The Batman All-In set and Aragorn, among others. Those two alone are over $1,500. Yeah, I'm priced out.

Getting Priced out, how about you?

I remember 15 years ago, visiting my LCS and seeing some high-quality high-priced items and thinking "who the F would pay that, especially if it is a variation on something they already own?" Now I am that sucker. And it's embarrassing. And I can't stop.
  15. BACON!

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

Agree on all points. When looking at this reveal, I am like - Five hundred bucks for THIS? But it is also a character I do not currently have in my collection and the details are clearly there
  16. BACON!

Mars Toys 1/6 Penguin (Burgess Meredith)

Yeah, since he wasn't called Penguin in the movie or the first episode, I am guessing the series is the sotry of how hegets to be called The Penguin
