less magnets, more magnets, or even stronger... makes no difference if the figure has weak ankles.
I had to take the boot off because it had a strange fold in it, which I couldn't get undone and found out that they used a piece of foam to make the ankles more stiff and to prevent him from leaning forward. It was a pain in the ass to get the piece of foam in the right spot again and to put the boot back on, it took me at least two hours lol.

Love this guy. He and Gandalf continue to fight it out for the title of My All Time Favorite Figure!

There may come a day when the courage of Men fails…But it is not THIS day!!!

I think InArt is over thinking the magnetic base. If you look at JPT's Silent Hound figure, the feet are magnetic and the base is just a circle of metal. He can have super dynamic poses that way. It may be easier/cheaper for Inart to go with a solid piece of metal underneath the plastic base. I always like to pose my figures with their feet at the edge of the base, and now it is limiting, or I just get one foot catching the base
I love the silent hound base. Talk about solid. I agree: InArt could just do a metal, milled base encircled by the One Ring

Congratulations! You have done a great job with his hair. I would be more than happy with it if mine had come looking like that.
Thank you!:)

Yeah, I actually thought that when I forced myself to stop picking at his hair. With forceps. That if I'd never seen other Aragorns I would have been
fine if he came out of the box like that. Tho luv the look you ended up with :clap to me it's Aragorn at Amon Hen or other battle. Mine will never do that look or others like Pizza's the fiber texture is - well, more coarse with bigger wave. IMO Raymond on this forum is correct about InArt needing to be consistent with fiber choices.

So it turned out ok but honestly while I don't mind futzing I'd rather not learn on a 500$ figure it was too nervewracking:eek::eek::eek:. Too much chance I'd accidentally scrape the paint or yank some hair out.

Hafta say tho since I had to stare at the sculpt so much:LOL: it is a beautiful sculpt. Best Aragorn I have seen even over WETA.(y)

My out of the box phone pic.. not bad at all. But using a phone to capture this is really hard. REALLY!
Looks like you got good out of the box hair. (y)

Yeah I noticed at least with my cell phone you have to get the angle right so the camera sees what I see. Otherwise there's this weird almost fish eye effect up close. Really wish I had saved posts explaining camera lens etc. Basically I need a good cheap camera.

Apologies for the crap photo. Just received mine and thought I’d do a quick assemble before I put it back in the box as I’m moving house soon.

PS is anyone having issues opening the base up to get to the magnets? The Batman was pretty easy to open but I can open my Aragorn base of that life of me! Would like it to stand more central on the base.

Any suggestions???

Just push your palm against it and twist, mine comes off with little hassle.

I absolutely hate the base on this figure. I don't trust it. Really hoping cocoboloboy has something for Aragorn (and hopefully Harry Potter) up soon. I get the realism of not having the crotch holder but I would rather see the stand, especially knowing this is just an action figure, and not have it fall over and get damaged.
