Yeah I do think using Mando teaching Grogu basic stuff for exposition works here and is a nice contrast to how he was in S1 and 2. Grogu is now a Foundling under his care and tutelage. It makes sense he'd be teaching Grogu. It reminds me of Jango and young Boba.

The last episode was excellent. I agree with you that watching this with Mando made Mando look a bit silly in comparison. It's Filoni vs Favreau. :lol

The second episode was mostly ok. I just found the pacing of it and the overall structure a bit weird. I think episode 1 and 2 would have worked better as 1 episode with some fat edited out.

My take on this, Picard was wrong and Riker was right. I liked the whole Titan arc here. I am still not digging the Raffi part of the story. However, it's good to see this finally tie in to the Shrike.

That whole intro scene got me thinking... was that the son of one of the members of that clan? If he is, is there an exemption to the helmet rule? Like.... do they make babies while wearing helmets? Are they allowed to remove their helmets within their main families? Do they have families or...

I'm ok with this. It was an OK start. Not great, not horrible, just OK. I feel like it needed to be longer since it did feel rushed.
