JND Studios / Kojun Works - 1/6 Girls Revolution: Yui (formerly from Shumi Arts)

"The most realistic Girl figure", "real girl", "delightful experience together", "create your own girl"... These guys really go all out with their dollies, huh? And I wonder if they're actually going the anatomically correct route like some of the old Phicen/TBLeague figures.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Forgot to mention that the human hybrid (does it already have an official name, like the Newborn or the Porto-alien?) immediately gave me Species vibes...

Kaustic Plastik / Infinite Statue - 1/6 Bela Lugosi as Dracula - Action Deluxe Figure

Is it me or are Bela's pants a tad too long? It's something that has bugged me in almost every pic I've seen of the figure.

    Alien: Romulus (2024) figures

It's a cool design, but it's clear that they either don't understand or don't want to fully follow Giger's "biomechanics". You can tell how all the ridges and tubing have been made to look more organic and less mechanic. The lips and facias tendons are especially noticeable, as they have kept...

    RIP James Earl Jones

Such a legend. A truly charismatic performer and gentleman. And so many iconic roles: Vader, Tulsa Doom, King Jaffe Joffer, Admiral Greer...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Dragged my brother too accompany me for a second viewing. We didn't have time to discuss it much afterwards, but I could tell he wasn't all that impressed. He enjoyed it and said it was "entertaining". As for me, I liked it better the second time around. All the little callbacks still annoy me...

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Yup, that was pretty much my take as well, but it wasn't what Miller wanted to say, but rather that he chose to have a character state it directly in the movie which I found a bit surprising. It didn't bother me or anything, I just found it unusual.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Finally got a chance to see this, and I'm sorry I missed it at the theatre. Obviously, it's not as insanely good as Fury Road, but I found it to be a great movie. Yeah, there was some dodgy CGI, and it did seem like Miller was trying to be more obvious and direct with what he wanted to "say"...

Justin's Collection Announces $32 "Figure First Aid Kit" For Sale

Oh boy... It's not a bad idea in and of itself, putting all the tools together in one kit, but to just use the sewing kit as is... FFS, those buttons are useless for a 1/6 figure. Such an obvious cash grab. If I didn't already think so little of him, this would be the final straw. But, alas, I...

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power | Amazon Prime Video - September 2, 2022

So far, LOTR is just Jackson's trilogy for me. The Hobbit movies were pretty bad and easily forgotten, while this series and the War of the Rohirrim are completely unnecessary. Against my better judgement, I watched the first season of this and I will not make the same mistake again.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

No, I think you're right. Unless there are some amazing BTS or deleted scenes that have not been leaked, there really isn't much new to be learned. Of course, the interviews with the actors can be interesting, but nowadays it's usually just a long collection of statements on how everybody knew...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Yeah, that had me scratching my head as well. Also, it seems a bit odd that this group can just take off in a ship without anybody caring. W-Y is depicted as this very controlling company. Were they all off-duty that day? Is anybody allowed to take off into space just like that? Seems a bit odd...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Oh, there's a lot of fan service moments. The worst of them is the "get away from her" bit. It betrays a complete lack of understanding of why that line is so good in the Aliens. And not only that, it just makes no sense within the movie itself. There is no reason for Andy to call the alien a...
