I just saw Jedha Patrol's video and it also showed the face mask when looking up close also had similar flakes to the legs but to a lesser extent. It might just be the paint application for the metallic look on the prototype. Or it could be dust mixed in when the paint was sealed.

If you are worried about the silicone, you can always pose him with one arm rotated in front (or raised to his side while looking to the side) with the repulsor hand on it. That will make a museum pose slightly dynamic. Hopefully there will be no issues with the silicone once the product is...

I did use some putty to secure the head as the neck peg is a little smaller than the hole in the head.

I can understand the feeling but to be fair it does come with silicone arms and legs as well as magnetic light up features.

What are the odds that Hot Toys (Hono) solicits a Limited Edition (1500 pieces) of the Stealth Armor? With my luck, they'll release an unmasked sculpt with the stealth version to get me to double dip.
