Asmus Toys: Escape From New York Snake Plissken

For a so-called "Crown" line, no tattoo would be a joke. Will Asmus ever learn their lesson?

Asmus Toys: Escape From New York Snake Plissken

And by the way: Asmus should make clear as well who will be the international carrier, because I am afraid that most people will be reluctant to buy the exclusive if it means heavy fees plus customs.

Asmus Toys: Escape From New York Snake Plissken

That is the question. And the reason for a new debacle. But I am afraid there won't be any tattoo, otherwise it would have been explicit. Do these companies know the properties they are paying for?

1/6 SooSoo Toys SST-079 Armored Knight (Batman, The Dark Knight Returns)

Agree. The Hot Toys one looks just cheap to me, especially those boots. I am already looking into the possibility of painting the armour blue, and giving him a longer cape. Let's see about the underpants as well.

1/6 SooSoo Toys SST-079 Armored Knight (Batman, The Dark Knight Returns)

Not quite: no knee pads, different underpants, different cape length, different belt, different tonality in chest armor. This is more comic accurate, but Rovanic looks much better to my eyes. Now, let's see the price...

SSR - Knight by Gaslight (Batman: Gotham by Gaslight) - 1/6th Scale Figure

No, it doesn't. It is just a Christmas lantern for Christmas trees, but it matches. About the figure, I would like to recall how much I like it, specially the cape: this is simply superb. I would have added a diorama though, but I think I will do it myself. SSR is doing great stuff. Their...

SSR - Knight by Gaslight (Batman: Gotham by Gaslight) - 1/6th Scale Figure

Just received it, and I have to say that I am gratefully surprised by this figure. My perfect companion for the lord of the vampires!

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

You are not doing wrong. It happens (and bothers) to me also. It is clearly a design flaw. I have Premium and because of this and the length of the hair I am very dissapointed with this Inart release.

Take a pair of good hands and use real bandage. It might work. Or you can also dry brush.

Academic books on Comics and Popular Culture

Morrison´s "Supergods" (2011) is IMO a great essay, although somewhat simple and (perhaps) outdated. Nevertheless, Grant Morrison is, along with other authors (Alan Moore, Rick Veitch, etc...) a good example of how the comics medium takes self-awareness of the superheroic question.

Academic books on Comics and Popular Culture

To begin with, on Batman's 85th anniversary, I would like to suggest reading the following book, just published:

Academic books on Comics and Popular Culture

Hello everyone. I am a forum member, interested of course in comics and popular culture, source and origin of many of our favorite figures. I also have a keen interest in academic books that study them in a scientific way, and since I don't see in our forums any thread dealing with it, I dare to...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I do believe that the cloak is an essential accessory, let alone that it was supposed to be part of the figure. I was indeed planning to use, as it is my favourite look. This is for me a huge disappointment. First the detonator (I have paid on Inart page and still no notice at all of it). Then...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I guess one solution would be to implement magnetic eyes. But don't tell me that would not increase the cost to an undoable range...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Probably it was their only way to offer moving eyes. A seamless cowl for this Batman it is not doable.

JPT DESIGN x POP 1/6 Silent Hound

People are staring at Artisan and Inart while missing this. But this isn plain art. I have the previous release and this one coming. Not regretting at all.

SSR The Bat Returns 2.0 aka “1/6 The Dark Knight Returns 2.0”…

I just received from Kit both versions. Apart from a small dissapointment (the box in black version came damaged from factory, and the paint of the headsculpt came also damaged), my first impression of the figure is good. Here some thoughts: - The body proportions are perfect. It is difficult...

SSR The Bat Returns 2.0 aka “1/6 The Dark Knight Returns 2.0”…

Me too. I think it will be a good figure.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I am afraid I agree with you... Waiting though for both to see in person.
