It's impressive then that Enterbay found the technique to mass-paint their Jokers with more detail (they forgot to seal the paint on some batches though :lol). While a 1/2 head might be a bigger canvass to paint thus needing more time, I'm sure EB's production run was significantly higher compared to P1's.

Also, and again -- I find it weird that the licensors would approve of a messier look for 1/6 and 1/4 (even half a face painted on the new QS HT version) but would require this look on the bigger, more life-like scale. But then licensors can be weird sometimes, so yeah...

I tend to think that these factorys run on a very tight schedule and just don't have the time to achieve the level of detail you might be seeking. Customizers aren't hindered like that. They can painstakingly devote more time and effort. Just my 2 cents.

The level of detail I am seeking is a level equivalent to the DX11 or the EB Joker, I don't think that is not too much to ask for, especially considering the price on this.

After-all this is what they showed we will be getting.

But they give us this.

I would say the detail make up around the eyes and forehead on this is slightly better than make up on the DX01. Considering Prime is known for it's proto perfect paint jobs, this is a huge let down as it pretty much looks like the make up has been printed on in certain areas.

I agree with both points you made.

I get that there is no use complaining now, it is what it is, but I don't think people should make excuses for them either. I like this product and I will probably will buy it, but I can also be honest and say when it comes to the make up Prime totally dropped the ball.

Dude, I have a hard time seeing the difference between the two pictures at all. Well I see the black on the eyes a little different and mouth. Maybe your seeing something that I am not. Either way, hopefully this ships soon!

if Prime doesn't show any kind of 1/3 Heath Joker at the fest, I'm gonna go with this and get the face repainted. The tailoring is the best there will ever be, and repaints have already shown me how much better this can look. The HT likeness just doesn't even come close to this one. I'm hoping this will stick around for a long time like Bats so I can get a decent discount on it.

That's ok I won't bother explaining in detail what is different, I will leave that up to others to make up their own mind. However, you can clearly see make up pattern has a much more messier and detailed look on the proto.

From dark menacing joker to somewhat sad pensive clown.

Good point.

Eyes, mouth, forehead....yeah there's a noticeable difference to my eyes.

:exactly:

It just lacks the detail the proto had in those areas.

Oh I didn't see that, that is a real good reason why the make up pattern on the sculpt lacks detail. :rolleyes2
