The glasses are metal and plastic lens.
I won't ve using these as I've ordered the grey versions glasses instead. I'm afraid of the metal frame parts wearing the paintwork away off the headsculpt!

● Diorama chair set ●

chair is plastic, i can understand why obviously. Still it looks good non the less.
Comes with velvet base and a white fur rug, banner that has Totenkopf deaths head on one side and the SS runes on other. Also comes with a silver swastika eagle can be stuck via magnet onto backing or just pinned on top.

Is this still available anywhere?

Also, is the DID 3R GM640 with black leather coat available still anywhere at all? I tried Ebay, but it's a little difficult finding it considering the person it is, lol. Thanks in advance.

I bought them on Modelers Loft in UK. I had to pay customs fees on arrival. They still have him in stock I think their website said there was 3 or 4 in stock.

The GM640, I'd like one myself but prices are too high. There's one or two on ebay at moment

I got into WW2 German soldiers late... But these are fun to collect.

This German uniforms are eye catching.

Like the chair. ( I'm just not into WW2 figures for the most part, except for the potential of some of the weapons, accessories, headsculpts, gear that can translate to other custom application, etc, etc. "Controversial" figures don't bother me. Something I've said before is that I have a bigger problem with a lazy set/poor value set over one that could be seen multiple ways, some not positive)

What threw me down a rabbit hole was back when Hot Toys Predators were huge, I mean huge and the hottest thing in the hobby, someone mentioned to me about having a larger set of "trophies" So then I wanted a Thor's hammer, Captain America's shield, Punishers armor with the logo, Wolverines hands with claws, etc, etc as "trophies" Weapons from different eras, I kept Cobra Commanders head from the first SSC release as a helmet trophy for my Predators. This chair would be a cool trophy item.

My other thinking is one could 3D print some upper sleeves to snap on and off, paint them the same color tone,to cover some of the symbols, if needed. That way the chair could serve as diorama fodder for all kinds of applications, and you could snap out the sleeves to keep it in it's original condition if needed.

I'd like to see more of these officer/general/admiral sets come with more diorama fodder. For example, Patton comes with a cool jacket, revolvers and dog. Even if you aren't into Patton, those parts can be damn useful for other figure customs. I'd like these guys to come with period radios, or a painting, or an animal companion. Like Rommel, IIRC, he was confronted on his last day near his garden. And he had IIRC, a pet Daschund dog. Garden tools in a set. A change of outfit for workman clothes he might use when he worked in his garden. Add in his dog too. Put it this way, even if it's a set I don't normally venture towards, at least give loose parts potential for the broader collector base. Can you imagine how cool it would be to get a full set of pretty cool garden tools. OK most people might not find that interesting, but I'd find something like that super useful to have accessible in our hobby.

Back to this set, chair is interesting because it has some diorama application for crossover use. Stuff like that always makes a set more interesting.
