I got this recently it's my first '3R' (3reich) figure. Really impressed with attention to detail. There is literally enough gear in the box to make 2 figures which I'll do at some point.

I'm surprised this is your first 3R branded DID figure. Quality does look good.

My only '3R' is the Afrika Korps Rommel, who could've easily been slipped into the DID line as being less controversial than the others, though DID seem to put all German generals under 3R (apart from the fictional Generalmajor Drud with John Malkovich's head).

I would've expected Amon Göth to have been 3R, but I guess DID felt the movie angle would shield them a bit.

If I'd have got back into collecting WWII sooner I'd have got the more recent Japanese figures. I recently got a pair of their Private Takuya Hayashi uniforms to upgrade my pre-war Japanese soldiers since Facepool are releasing the US Marines from Pacific.

I'm not sure why some figures arent under 3R like Amon as you mentioned. I have wanted a few 3R figures and I'm not sure why I hadn't got them sooner.

I've ordered the Himmler (black uniform) version along with the diorama wooden chair so I'll post those when they arrive!!

Yeah, I have never seen anything that controversial about German WW2 generals, certainly not the ones with the German Wehrmacht. Maybe the ones serving with the SS is a bit different. Its all about context though.
I remember a story in the news a while back about a model shop in the UK selling these types of figures, ( I happened to purchase a few from them ) of course the media twisted it to make it look like this model shop was some kind of shrine to the 3rd Reich. That was until the owner showed reporters all the other items they had and that the Nazi figures made up about 1% of what they sold.
