The stand looks like the kind used by HHModel/HaoyuToys, so there may be a connection.

Dunno if you can take much from that, I also have that exact same base for my Cmtoys White Wolf.
Hell, they probably all work in the same factory anyway lol

CM Toys is CooModel, who also co-operate with Pop Toys.

It wouldn't surprise me if they also had connections with HHModel/HaoyuToys as they're all heavily into historical figures.

Mars Toys also uses a particular kind of stand which has been shared by their wider family and those they've have or have had connections with. e.g., Six Feet Lane Studios, DAF Toys, Yan Toys, Beetoys, S-Hero. (DAF is a group of companies, but how closely they're linked or operate is a mystery. Figure production is a bit incestuous, and the family relations don't always get on with each other).

Yeah at least those companies have experience. I only PO Caesar, the horse would be nice but I think you can get something similar or cheaper on elsewhere. I used coupon which brought the nrd down to $21, so if it sucks, not too big of a loss really lol.

I immediately recognised the stand in the photos as being the same that came with my HHModel/HaoyuToys Carthaginian Mercenary. The slight indentation created by the raised edge of the outer circle is quite distinctive.

I also had in mind that it was used by CooModel, and had to check my collection to make sure. It is the same one they used for their Gothic Knight.

So links between HHModel/HaoyuToys and CooModel/CM Toys, and now possibly DYM/Hell Cat.

However, it's always hard trying to judge the eventual quality even when you suspect there are established connections, or suspect that a company is just using a different name, because you don't know which teams or individuals are involved in the production.

Since Caesar is from a high profile licensed property, unlike much of their historical output, it's reasonable to suspect they would use new names. Their previous and seemingly first figure was DYM202401 1/12 Gandalf - another high profile license.

I’m hoping that this is an indication that Hot Toys is working on a Caesar. They made cosbabies of Caesar earlier this year after all

Does this company have a track record or is this their first figure? Really tempted to get the war paint version and the horse.

These actually look really bad if you compare them to photos of Caesar from the movies.
But the figure itself… pretty cool to me. I have a desire to kit him out like an orc or in ragged medieval gear. I think it would be a cool bash. I’m not a fan of the POTA franchise but the figure has fun potential

Yeah it's a great looking figure, but the face isn't quite long enough Caesar. And you can also be sure that the final paint apps will be a whole lot simpler and softer than what we're seeing here.
