Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

Some techie nerd has to link the "Bad boys, bad boys" Troops theme over that pic.:lol

Good stuff Dormal!

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

Oh man... got my hopes up for some invisible blaster fire (which I could then make visible tee hee) for a sec there... You can't easily put sabers or blaster fire in without photoshops, and yet they are quite essential to the star wars universe!

Your Trando looks good, except for the hands... right color, but they should look more like my han-.... I mean, scaly ostritch feet...
Bossk.jpg

oh and using a westar-34 blaster (the Jango pistol in the Duros's holster) in this pic
<img src="https://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq132/Dorgmal/Cantina/cantinacorner-81.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
doesnt work canonically, cuz Jango had them custom made for him. They were made of a super heat resistant alloy so they could fire more powerful blasts than other blaster pistols and still keep from melting...

But these are only minor gripes, not like it has to be canonical.. But as a SW nerde (ooh, fancy! :naughty), I felt obliged to point these things out. But great stuff, all of it it! I would like to see more variety in species personally, but that's ok. The only aliens I have are: a Geonosian (which could not really be found in a cantina on Tatooine), a Bith (a musician who actually was in that particular Tatooine cantina), Kit Fisto (a Nautolan... or rather, Naughty-lan! :lol he died at the hands of Palps 20 years before we even glimpse the cantina), and Bib Fortuna (a Twi'lek, who is also from Tatooine, but usually would be at Jabba's place watching the twirly whirly girlies!... that would afterwards be fed to Jabba's friendly little animal companion...)

Maybe I'll sculpt some aliens, or get some of Rogue Trooper's somehow...

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

why always nitpicking "dude person"??

I mean, really??

I already explained that, as a Star Wars nerd, I feel like the universe has to know how Star Wars is supposed to be...

It doesn't really matter if it is the way it's "supposed to be" though. I just like to point things out...

You probably won't understand, it's a nerd thing I guess! ;)

sorry if I seem like a j^^^a^^ "Oh, well, that's canonically incorrect, it's terrible! You simply must change it!" :lol

Dorgs your figs and dios are all awesome, and I don't think anybody really gives a ^^^^ about canon around here, but we nerdes (ooh, fancy!) do tend to blurt trivia on impulse...

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

Why thank you all I am glad you are enjoying as much as me!! LOL.

But best of all I now get to be a Nerdy Geek!!!!!! The little green alien is not actually a Trandoshan but based on a Saurin. The Saurin af a sub-species of the Trandoshans. They where very similar to the Trandoshans but a lot more common. The main difference where the hands. The Saurin hands are more humanoid, with 5 fingers hand as opposed to the 3 of the Trandoshan and they still have the same ability to regenerate lost limbs.
I have based mine on a Saurin that appears very briefly in the cantina. Sai'torr Kal Fas who is a female Saurin. She combines hand-to-hand combat skills with starfighting piloting. A less-aggressive and more dexterous than the subspecies of Trandoshans, Sai'torr considers herself more a native of her adopted homeworld of Tatooine than of her birthplanet of Durkteel, where her species is often humiliated by their stronger Trandoshan cousins. She spent much of her time on Tatooine as a bodyguard for her droid trader cousin Hrchek Kal Fas, then later joined the Rebellion as a scout and trainer. Her highest claim to fame, she says, though, is being in Chalmun's Cantina when Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived and made their fateful deal with Han Solo.

Wow Dorgs, you really know your stuff...

Re: 1/6 Cantina Booth

I like that figure, It would be a cool use for the spare Hasbro Bossk i got since the head sculpt seem a much better fit for that guy as compared to Bossk, with it being smoother and a little less scaly looking.

I was checking this out https://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Saurin And at the bottom they show that Hasbro actually made a 3 3/4" fig for this guy some time last this year. Hasbro really does a good job of making characters that you barely even get a blurry 1 second shot of in the movies.

The aliens are always my favorite customs, awesome job on those!

Re: More of Rogue Trooper work hits the Bars Of Mos Eisley

LOL funny you should post that... Last night I was unable to post the pictures as they were confiscated by Imperial Sandtroopers. There was a ....small disturbance and several patrons where needed for questioning... So as you can imagine the Cantina is buzzing tonight with all the regulars plus a few old friends....

So sit back, relax and enjoy some more of Rogue Troopers chuffin marvelous customs... plus Deathstalkers truly work is rumoured to make an appearance.........
