Seems like the standard Custom Indy thread encompasses mostly "adventure" Indy images. Figured I'd start a thread dedicated to customs of map room Indy.

Ignore that stand-in rope in the last two shots. I need to find something better...

i think pauls head sculpt would be perfect for this custom. Thats what i plan to do with my map room indy

Looks good.

Still can't believe Sideshow didn't include the headpiece with any of the figures. FAIL.

Yeah not like they were saving it for that Marion Ravenwood they said they'd never make.

I like your custom Flosi. What body have you used? Agent_5 have reason. The turbant comes in two parts. My great problem is to get a decent 1/6 headpiece

Can you find the jewel thingy for the top of the staff?
Well, there's the Medicom one, but it's been going for 20 bucks on ebay, 22 w/ shipping.... I have a hard time spending that much on such a "meh" item... Who knows, I might pull the trigger on one but I'll fell taken advantage of.

Then there's always the Hasbro Headpiece pack-in that came with Marion, I think.... might be too big though.

Paul's sculpt would be PERFECT, IMO. But getting one is pretty much impossible now, right? Last I heard there were just a few made and that was it....

This'll show you everything you need to do this custom. The turban is actually a 2-piece. Everybody always thinks its one but its two. There is a turban much like Sallah's and then another which is wrapped around and tucked in. Also, the edges were fully finished as the pics show.

Cool, thanks Agent5! :rock

Nice job, Flosi! Good choice in using the German Indy head. The turban disguises his huge melon!

Yeah I had been looking for a good match for this head since I got it from TA.

I took the cap off and took my dremel to the bill and most of the raised areas. I then glued down the middle of the fabric over the top and then tucked under what was left of the cap leaving me with two equal pieces of fabric on either side to tie the turban. The piece I used was 3.5"x24".... The robe is just a Hasbro Tusken Raider robe. I was working on a custom when it had hit me that the robe could work for Indy as well. It's much more frayed then the one Indy has on in ROTLA but I think it gives him a cool overall look.

Pretty sure it was just a standard TT. I had a Cairo Indy on display with the German Indy head (hat swapped to his fedora) with mostly Relic Hunter items. I honestly didn't like the way he looked so I took him down from my display and put him in the parts bin... Once I tried the Tusken Raider robe the rest fell into place...

pretty cool.. but you need to sew a straight hem to the bottom and cuffs and you'd have a better look for the actual disguise... this should have been the route sideshow went instead of german disguise Indy... so much more potential.. could have had a medallion, wooden staff, notebook, and transit as accessories.. the maproom small brush could have been the exclusive piece,, too bad....

This is the Indy variant I really wanted! I've been toying with the idea of making my own - and your design has added more fuel to the fire! Great job!
